It's because it's the only thing that you pointed out that was at all off about a rather curious picture without acknowledging the fact, and it's like... I dunno, like you're not aware of the fact that you talk about copyright way more than even people who really like the subject, even though I think that you are aware of it?

Well, yes, but somehow the main thing that irked me about the crappy Lion King-with-NyQuil Logo for a Cutie Mark picture was the notion that Vicks was its own company.
@Anonus, I think many people here are super interested in things that could be considered niche interests. I guess that is a good since it adds more diversity to the site. That being the case, I feel like if you do not share someone's interest in something and do not really want to talk about it, it is usually more considerate to say nothing rather than register your disapproval.
Even so, I wonder sometimes how often is too often when it comes to talking about stuff that interests you but may not interest others as much. Does it seem self-indulgent to people when someone talks about their interests a bunch? Is it better to discuss things that people have in common? I do not really know.

And I thought HH was a place where you could talk at length about any stupid thing.
Well, it's like this: You end up talking about these things no matter what is brought up, somehow, and you seem less interested by them than annoyed or nervously preoccupied, and it's always with the same basic range of things with little actual variation. It gets really bothersome.
Like, if you're going to talk about Procter & Gamble, why not bring up something interesting about the history of Vicks or P&G? But you don't. You go off about copyright, or branding, or who owns what company since when for what reason without context, explanation or regard for the flow of the topic at hand.
It honestly kind of drives me bonkers, partly because I could do that all day about some of the weird shit that I obsess about, but I don't because I have a degree of self-restraint with respect to who will find what that I talk about interesting or relevant. And I do not relate those things to every conversation that I engage in, or have them come to mind with respect to every topic.

I think it really just sprung from my own curiosity about whether or not Vicks still existed as a legal entity; it had never occurred to me before seeing that picture.
But I guess I can keep my rambling in my own personal thread, where it won't bother anyone...
I dunno why but every time I see that jellyfish show mentioned it just provokes an immediate, visceral reaction. Which is weird, because I don't really know anything about it other than that a lot of my friends like it.

Well, you could have phrased it that way and I think I would have understood, but... eh, I don't know anything.
