So, guys, I'm the only one who likes Narnia here, 'cause you're all totes religion-hating folks y'all and Narnia is a Christian allegory, so I should probably not post this; but this is pretty much exactly how I imagined the Narnia books in my imagination; all colourful, like a drawing, maybe in coloured pencil.

I have no real issue with C.S. Lewis, although I will admit that the books in the series with the least to do with the main characters (The Magician's Nephew and A Horse And His Boy) were, to my estimation, easily the most interesting. His other stuff is pretty intriguing, too.
To me, Narnia is pure childhood, like Calvin and Hobbes, or Cardboard Boxes, or Hopscotch and Jacks, or swingsets and sandboxes, or legoes and blocks, or bouncy balls and little knight figures that you can make a battle with, or lazy summer days making up worlds with my cousins and playing around in them, or slides and jumping rope, or hula hoops and trampolines.
I found The Magician's Nephew interesting because of what it implied about the setting: That Narnia (which doesn't even come into existence until near the end) was simply one of numerous linked universes. That he did not explore this further disappointed me greatly. I found the main books pretty uninspiring, albeit sprinkled with a few clever ideas, and A Horse And His Boy charming but uneventful.
What I have read of his adult work, as I said, was pretty intriguing. It is much more surreal and subtle in its allegories, more like what a series in the vein of The Magician's Nephew would have been.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.

I really enjoyed those books actually, even though the last one is really clumsy and poorly thought out.
What Yarrun said. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was my favorite. Although I also liked The Magician's Nephew for reasons similar to what ferret-god said.
Also, while The Last Battle is a tad clumsy, I always loved the ending.
Fuck you, Benjamin Netanyahu. I am so tired of your racist bullshit. Yes, Hamas are scum and your neighbours hate you for idiotic reasons, but if you really wanted to show that you were an enlightened democracy then you would stop treating Palestinian civilians like your own personal punching bag. In the end, what are you but another crypto-fascist that uses religion as a cudgel—another future Bashar?

Ba-dum-tish!
Okay, it was the worst of the series, but it's still better than anything.

I wanna go on a magical fantasy adventure with you sometime.
I think I'm going to have to get off the computer for a while, though. I'm getting a headache. :(
