The best Kmart I ever saw was the one on Fishinger Boulevard in Hilliard, Ohio. It was relatively new at the time (late '90s) and still fairly clean and well-maintained.

And of course, it was one of the locations they closed after the bankruptcy.

I was in front of an ambulance in traffic earlier and I saw "AMBULANCE" in my rearview mirror and it took me a second to realize that meant it was printed backwards on the ambulance itself. (Even though I was already aware that was a standard practice.)

You know, I've kind of realized something.

I care way too much about people, just in general. I barely ever seek my own happiness, it's all about everyone else. Now, I'm not gonna become the Ayn Rand-ish, completely apathetic Objectivist/libertarian guy who doesn't give a hoot about anyone but himself, but I think I need to try to make myself a bit happier rather than suffering for the benefit of everyone else, a thing I'm all too used to.

I keep wanting to see a fake infomercial that parodies the whole "before/after" cliches. You know, black and white footage of a frustrated woman with messy hair using a conventional product in an obviously deliberately clumsy way, then cut to brightly-colored footage of whatever "revolutionary" product the commercial is trying to sell.
