I'm from freakin' Ohio and I still think of it as "Carl's Jr. and Hardee's"
What the heck is Hardee's? Is it some East Coast thing?
it is a restaurant chain that is mostly in the eastern and midwestern U.S. that was bought by CKE Restaurants in 1997 and merged into its western Carl's Jr. chain
Hardee's took on the star logo and dinner menu of Carl's Jr., while Carl's Jr. took on Hardee's breakfast items
Fun fact: The founder of Hardee's founded the NFL's Carolina Panthers

"Carl Jr.'s" would imply that it's owned or operated by someone named Carl Jr.
It's "Carl's Jr." because it began as a smaller version of the existing "Carl's" restaurant
Now I'm just thinking of how English has no real written rules for adjective order and how we just kinda gravitate to what sounds right.
Big red cat vs. red big cat, etc.
i never really thought about this so i googled it; turns out there have been a bunch of attempts to codify this
by careful study of these i have determined that 'twelve mediocre inedible whopping grimy ancient hosohedral chartreuse Albuquerquean teak novelty snooker balls' is an English perfectly natural construct

Just to drive the point home, I tried singing "red little Corvette" to myself.

i think whatever feels more inherent is closer to the noun
e.g. big red cat makes a general point about the size then specifies color red big cat makes a general point about the color then specifies size, which is not as intuitive since color can change with lighting but size can't
also "big cat" is an actual term so that's another thing
I once walked to a Carl's Jr based on google maps only to find out it had recently gone out of business, that is the total of my interaction with the chain.

It doesn't work.
these days it basically just makes me feel kinda fat, and tastes kinda like Burger King but more trashy
