I have considered many variables in my finding the show to be garbage, and held no particular ill will towards it until I watched some of it, firstly at the laundromat and a second time after my mom checked a season out at the library.

Having seen it on these several occasions, I have come to the conclusion that it is a giant, vapid, insulting pile of crap.

You can disagree with me, but you cannot convince me otherwise.

I'm not saying it's objectively terrible, I'm saying that I myself find it so appallingly abominable that I have an incredibly hard time understanding how anyone can find it otherwise.

The script is clever: the nerd jokes are funny without being pandering, Sheldon is annoying and obnoxious but that's the point, moreover he's rarely shoehorned into the plot, the characters are weird but realistically so, etc.

Basically, reverse every single criticism and that's why I like it.

As for Big Bang, I'm not fully sure whether it's laughing with or at nerd culture, considering that there are tons of fans of it that consider themselves nerds. (One of my best friends, in fact, wears her Bazinga shirt proudly and often.)

I admit, though, even though I'm unsure of whether I should be insulted by its existence or not, I get a chuckle out of it because I'm a 16-year-old boy.
