    You know, the marking threads and links NSFW like what IJBM does seems like the most elegant solution (although another section seems the best option for covering the admin's asses)

    I would not mind a private "informal" NSFW section among PMs either, provided there's a way to improve PMs a bit so they have the standard postbox.

    On the NSFW section:

    I created a role named "NSFW Access" a few days ago, as I don't think password-protection is an option for categories here. How it would work, were it fully implemented, is that one could ask a mod or admin to place them into the role, provided they are 18 or older.

    I had also considered going IJBM2's "keep the forum SFW-ish" route, but that would need to be talked over in the mods' forum.

    Hold on, I peeked in the mod board. We're against a dedicated category now, but we do want to relax Vanilla's restrictions.

    We thought of letting the threads and links exist, but requiring that they be clearly marked as such.

    Sounds alright.

    Honestly, a NSFW category is a nice idea, but the only thing I could see it being used for beyond the "embedding NSFW pictures" thing, is sharing weird fetishes, and I doubt anyone wants to hear about any of mine any more than I really want to hear about any of theirs, so....

    Well if we're on the same wavelength here, PMs can be used for that.

    I'd still very much like a standard postbox for the PM system though. If that's at all possible.

    I had thought about applying the WYSIWYG to that, too, along with proper pagination (pages consist of fifty messages, and they are divided by "Older Messages" and "Newer Messages" buttons).
