Is it possible to maybe make the NSFW category be limited only to certain groups (so not even all users can see it), and have to contact a mod stating your age (that way, if somebody under 18 DOES see something not so nice and gets you guys in trouble somehow, you can just show the application and go, "They stated they were 18"))?
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
On second thought, the NSFW category is something we were too hasty on. We'll put it somewhere only mods and admins can see for now while we think about what to do with it.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Hmm, maybe for the NAUT SAYF FUH WERK stuff, we could make a subdomain forum or something, and it could have a darker version of the HH theme so one could easily tell the difference. If that's possible, of course.
"nsfw.heapershangout.com" or something? Either way, that'd be a good solution so the people who would like to have an account there could, and the rest of us could stay here in the main Heap.
And no, the clubhouse analogy doesn't work. You have to be 18+ to view any porn. It's been like that forever.
Likewise, beyond that, you have the choice of going there as long as you're atleast 18.
I don't remember this place being obligated to only appeal to people who don't want to view porn. As long as we show it without causing any troubles, only those who wish to view it can see it. Which means nobody gets hurt, etc.
I see no issues with a password protected section.
Imi's idea does not prevent underage people from seeing the image, which is part of the issue here.

I think vanillaforums prohibits us from showing porn at all regardless.
It's not about us being held responsible, it's about them being held responsible, you see.
^^^Or that.

D'oh, I am on my mobile too. Will have to redo my av when I am back home later :/
But still, the NSFW business needs to be resolved somehow or other.
I guess.
How about: you can link to NSFW stuff, but it MUST be labeled as such. And no NSFW embeds.
