Same here. On Tv Tropes, it is listed as a Tear Jerker.

I like the second one, because of how I imagine T. Rex saying "For Drugs!" kind of like how that one guy in that abridged series said "In America".

It's actually a pretty solid gag, which is... a lot better than I would expect from that particular comic.

Can't say I disagree. The long haired girl already looks like a humanized version of one of the ponies so I guess the editor just rolled with it.
