I enjoyed the latest Bad Machinery.

Not posting it since it's mad spoilery, but people should really read this...and Scary Go Round, and maybe even Bobbins if they haven't.

I tried to get into Scary Go Round (more than once, actually) but something about the writing never really clicked with me. But I gave Bad Machinery a try and it is wonderful.

You may want to try skipping some of the later chapters. The early humor clicked with me, but to Klinotaxis point, I can see how the dialogue is kind of strange.

It eventully transitions to something a bit more resembling regular conversation, though I couldn't exactly point to a specific part.

I had heard a while back that Ethan was sort of MIA.

Did Buckley decide to wrap up that story line, and presumably, move on to other projects?

Buckley did a storyline to kill off Ethan and end the CAD proper storyline because the characters were quote "too well-defined" to write jokes for anymore. He says he will reboot them at some indeterminate time.

Now he makes comics about those multi-colored violent people he occasionally dedicated CAD strips to before the events of The End storyline

I'm not sure what it is, but somehow CAD almost never manages to get a laugh out of me.

Assuming the blue people in the second comic are Sony console reps, it would be a funny commentary, but It's not clear to me what is going on.

The first one should be funny, but some how there's just too much dialogue in the first two panels, and it's throwing me off.

I'm not even sure what to say about the last one...

The end to Ethan's ark I find amusing. I don't think he was ever really deemed likable by many. So all the naming of things after him and trying to establish just all the good he did seems kind of forced.

I don't really get Buckley's explanation here. If anything, his characters never seemed that well defined (except for maybe Ethan, who was just sort of your standard cynical, lazy, slacker nerd). It makes more sense to me that he simply couldn't squeeze any more blood out of that stone.

I don't remember the exact formula, but it was claimed that any given CAD strip could be greatly improved by trimming it down to two panels.
