So that game involved me casting Tainted Pact looking for Exsanguinate, then chickening out when I left myself with ten cards and taking a random counterspell instead.
I didn't count the mana so I'm not actually sure if I would've won had I cast that Exsanguinate, but.
I don't normally use Tainted Pact that way, I normally just go a few cards deep, but I happened to notice that I only had one copy of each basic left in my deck so I could actually just use it as a tutor. Not something I'm used to doing.
Yeah my basics are half snow and half normal because of Tainted Pact. It's never mattered in a big way before since I like I said I rarely go very deep with the card, but when I put it in I figured it didn't hurt to do that.
I actually don't know how to do sealed. Either in cockatrice specifically or like, at all.
Anyway, FYI: if anyone was planning on using the card Scroll Rack for anything, it's currently not possible to exile things face down in Cockatrice, so it doesn't work quite right.
You can play things from your hand onto the field face down, but it's kinda tedious. You can only do it one at a time.
With this in mind I'd like to know if people consider Scroll Rack "unplayable" for HH stuff, because I currently have it in a deck and want to know if I should replace it.
In any case I'd like to test my new EDH deck sometime today. Let me know when y'all are free.

I tend to think of Cockatrice's zones as representing a tabletop, rather than 100% reflecting how zones work according to the letter of the rules. It's pretty usual to put stuff on the "battlefield" whenever in a real game you'd put it down in front of you, even if technically it's in exile.
Honestly you wouldn't even really want to use the actual exile zone for a card like Scroll Rack because they only stay in exile for a moment, and you don't want to get them mixed up with other exiled cards. It's really only a technicality of the rules that they're exiled at all; even if they were face up it would be easier to use the battlefield. I don't really see "you can only do it one at a time" as a big problem given that they're cards from your hand.
So no, I don't consider Scroll Rack unplayable, though much like Sensei's Divining Top one should use caution with it as it can waste a lot of time if you do it every turn and take a bunch of time thinking about it.
For real though, would anyone dig trying to get into Tiny Leaders? I find it easier to get invested in than EDH, and I actually know how to make decks that don't run on a murder engine.
Oh yeah, you could also Cytoshape your commander (or anyone else's) into a creature with Lieutenant.
But yeah, Commanderness is an inherent property of the card itself. Even if your general gets turned into a frog, it's still your general. (It's also a non-copyable property, so if you do some crazy business like let your commander go to the graveyard and then exile it with Dimir Doppleganger, your creatures with Lieutenant won't get the bonus. They can tell!)

they said that the two IPs would never cross but here we are!!!!
Honestly, D&D stands more to gain by attracting MTG players than the inverse
