I bought some interesting-sounding music from someone on bandcamp.
I have no intention of asking for a refund, short of me becoming so impoverished that that less than $20 that I paid for that music would otherwise be my next meal. And in that case I have bigger things to worry about.
Keep it as financial security. If she doesn't renege on her offer, you'll have the cash if you need it while you're in Illinois. If anyone wants a refund at some point, you can ask them to talk to you personally and you can honour that directly.
As for your friend on Twitter, you can talk to them about your misgivings on the situation. If they're kind enough to drop $100 on you just because they care, they'll probably understand, and if you do get the ticket from your mom, you can give it back.
