I restart my computer cuz it's kinda laggy. Sensical, yes?
When I restart it, it gives me an error that it can't detect the kind of charger my laptop is using and that the battery may not charge properly. Very frustrating, but comprehensible.
Then, I log on, and I can't connect to the internet. Now, I don't mean that the wi-fi wasn't working, I mean that clicking on the little icon that brings up the connection screen, you know, this thing:
just didn't do anything. Somehow, logging out and back in fixed the problem, but I'm now deeply concerned that my computer has some sort of serious issue I'm not smart enough to pick up on.

Dusty had to have surgery to remove a nylon sock-thing she accidentally ate while playing with it.
She is now at home recovering and spending most of her time hiding/sleeping under the bed and wanting to be left alone after several days of being poked and prodded and various other unfun things.

We've had a few students e-mailing about having conflicts with labs (particularly evening labs) and exams in other courses (particularly math). If your other course is giving an exam outside of normal class time which conflicts with any of your other courses the course holding the exam has to provide alternate times so you don't miss your other classes. Missing a lab for an exam is not considered an excused absence from lab.
On one hand, he's right: the university's policy is that the class giving the off-schedule exam has to offer an alternate exam time to students who have conflicting scheduled classes.
On the other hand, this stubborn inflexibility and refusal to accommodate other people's needs really pisses me off. :|

You know what you find a lot on college campuses that's kind of confusing?
When they've built what is functionally an addition to a building...but named it as a separate building.
Meaning that the room numbers are repeated and you have to be careful to make sure you're in the right "building" when you're looking for a specific room.

the engineering building/complex at my school is actually five buildings; four are connected by multiple internal hallways and one by a skybridge
i was once in one of the "buildings" when the next "building" over was being evacuated for a fire alarm. the fire doors were closed and i could hear an alarm through them. the building i was in, like tne feet away and structurally connected to the building on fire, was not evacuated
My favorite Calvin and Hobbes strip used to be the one where Calvin screams "I'M SIGNIFICANT!" into the night sky, pauses, then adds "...screamed the dust speck".
I also love all the ones where he builds snowmen, especially the whole Snow Goons plot.

Really the whole strip was great but in terms of recurring gags the downhill sledding was my favourite, probably. Or maybe the snowmen.
