i had another one of those weird nights where a bunch of people from completely unrelated friendship circles all came together and had quite a good time??

I dream about the most mundane crap sometimes.
Last night's dream involved downloading a Notepad++ update.

Yo I don't give a shit about world building and plotholes and such and I think you mischaracterize Todd when you say he does
My issue was that the movie was compelling on a moment to moment scale but everything it attempted to do subtextually, metatextually, and thematically was confused at best and actively regressive at worst.

No, because TWS had a theme (government infractions on civil liberties are evil and fascist) that it stuck with through the movie's length.
Jurassic World tried to be about consumerism ruining wonders but didn't commit. It also had a nuanced, compelling female protagonist who it treated like a broad stereotype and a dudebero male protagonist who starts a romance with the female main for, like, no reason. And multiple character deaths while, curiously enough, the only one it really relished and lingered on was a female's.
