Relatedly: Revelations! For the longest time I wondered why OxiClean was called that, assuming that the oxi came from the word "oxymoron". There doesn't seem to be anything particularly oxymoronic about OxiClean, but then I realized that by being called oxi-something and not being oxymoronic, it's actually meta-oxymoronic.

Teysa was a lawyer, apparently. Which is weird, considering that she wasn't in the lawyers' guild. And the information about her suggests that she was basically on the side of good, just kind of a snarky dick about it.
Ravnica would be an amazing setting for a tabletop RPG.
And yeah, it definitely would be. (Actually, it has a lot in common with Sigil, Planescape's "City of Doors", except of course that it's locked off from other planes while Sigil is open to all of them.) Although I really like the take on Zendikar for 4th edition D&D that's on WOTC's community blog site.

Part of the problem is you painted way to vivid a picture of a community that had such high hopes but now those hopes have been crushed and are exposed like an open wound.
Even if one can't feel particularly sorry about the grocery store (though people might be nostalgic for "mom and pop" stores, even if the store the narrator was massing was considerably larger), one could feel sorry for the community and the fact their neighborhood now looks like ass.
