Basically, I feel that the Turner-Time Warner merger screwed us out of a timeline where we may well have been getting stuff like this into the present day

(I like how Hanna-Barbera has kind of consumed Warner Bros. Animation from the inside out though - visual elements of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and The Looney Tunes Show smack of vintage H-B)

i kind of group things i might hypothetically say into things that are 'natural' for me - things i might say impulsively, and which i feel 100% comfortable saying - and things that are not 'natural' for me, things that come from other people's backgrounds, which are expressions i can't use with confidence
'excuse me?' seems natural for me, but 'i'm sorry?' and 'beg your pardon?' are interchangeable with it
Anonus, in my list of Heaper Touhous, you are gonna be Nitori, and I can't really offer an explanation as to why, but you seem Nitori-esque (not her canon portrayals as a racist asshole obviously, more the zany inventor of fanon) to me.

see around here if you want people to repeat somethin you usually just go "eh?" or "huh?"
we're not big on verbal politeness in the mountains I guess.

Is it wrong that it makes me sad that even though this is how Jim Henson wanted it, that the Muppet Show and Sesame Street characters are no longer under one roof?
(The Jim Henson Company owned both until 2001, when Sesame Workshop bought the Sesame Street characters from Henson and their embattled corporate parent of the time, EM.TV. Of course, they would sell the Muppet Show characters to Disney in 2004, the year after the Henson family bought the company back from EM.TV)

Jim tried to sell his company, then known as Henson Associates, to Disney in 1989-90. But apparently Disney was set on including the Sesame Street characters in the deal, but Jim wasn't. He even went so far as to try to file paperwork that would result in the Sesame Street characters' ownership automatically transferring to what was then the Children's Television Workshop in the event of his death. But he died before it could be completed. The resulting disarray resulted in the sale of Henson Associates falling through.
Jane posted her reasons earlier in the thread; it's that she doesn't feel comfortable giving her money for old games when she doesn't know where that money is going.

Jane does something wrong, the police arrest Imi
(i suspect Jane has reasons, Ali)
Although pirates are awesome, One Piece should have taught you this.
(and yes, I know Jane has stated those reasons. I'm just being silly here).
The Tatars were concerned this would happen from the beginning.
