Aww man, I'd love a Stitch plushie...
Cool pictures. Somehow I never realized Charley's had two logos...

Plushies of cartoon characters can be kinda hit-or-miss, I've noticed
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
There was one of Merida...I didn't see her face, but her hair looked kind of miserable somehow. Also there was no 101 Dalmatians, Wreck-It Ralph or Gravity Falls merchandise.

It's in a more rural area half an hour from me...the contrast between this and suburbia is interesting.
This and the following few pictures were taken outside the park, and this is a building in a suburban development called Reunion. It looks like something from a Pixar movie to me...
The Conoco/7-Eleven at the end is outside of Reunion, and close to several parking lots that ferry people leaving their vehicles behind to DIA.

Barr Lake looks really pretty!
I wanna go to a nature park with you sometime, Anonus.

It's interesting, I seem to have developed a kind of...sensitivity to the quirks of digital cameras.
Like, when I see a photo with the colors looking a bit washed out (as a couple in that set are) I automatically know it was taken on a day when the sun was very bright and the sensor had trouble adjusting to it. It's not quite "overexposed" in the traditional sense, but I can definitely tell the difference...

Hey, I always thought raw bread dough looked tasty too!
That "yield to pedestrians" sign is interesting. I haven't seen it before either. It almost looks vaguely Canadian...they tend to use more signs with just pictures as an easy way around the language issue.
The Burger King looks a lot like one in Reynoldsburg.
Also, I'm amused that nobody caught "RASIED" before the sign was posted.

You mean why are there two different ones? I dunno, it looks like the one on the right was a poor attempt to copy the one on the left...
Aww man, that Safeway looks sad. Especially the empty payphones...
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Well, those logos aren't very well-designed either way...
Also, I just checked; turns out Cerberus hasn't even taken control of Safeway yet. That Safeway has never been a very well-maintained store, and the writing has been on the wall for years: the opening of the King Soopers in 2003, the revolving door store on the other side of the street finally settling on being a Walmart Neighborhood Market in 2012...I suspect THAT'S what finally killed it

(the revolving door store opened in 2003 as an Albertson's, which closed around 2008. Its place was taken the next year by SmartCo Foods, and SmartCo closed all its locations here the year after that)

The musical theater dork in me is glad to see Annie Get Your Gun make an appearance. :P
You know, I've long associated "There's No Business Like Show Business" with you and ABC Inc.

I'm gonna have to incorporate that into Centralia somehow

something interesting in that the flat design on this 7-up machine isn't that dissimilar from the flat design on, like, smartphone apps, but the fonts are pretty distinctly 80s

Kinda hard to make out, but...instead of using a proper "no truck traffic" sign, someone added "NO" in black tape to a "TRUCKS ENTERING HIGHWAY" sign to make "NO TRUCKS ENTERING HIGHWAY":

Oh hey, Wikipedia says Grand Union is gone. Along with Safeway and Piggly Wiggly, I'm pretty sure it was the first grocery store I was actually aware of (there was an A&P in Williamson, too, but it closed before I was old enough to know what it was like).
It'd seem most of GU's stores that weren't closed after the 2001 C&S buyout went to Stop & Shop or Tops. They left the Washington area long ago (early 1980s), but I still remember them for some reason.
