by and large, though, the combined company places a larger emphasis on Square's (and, since the acquisition, Eidos's) games and IP

a more fitting for it these days would be Square Eidos

it just makes me sad that classic animation keeps getting dragged through the mud by Hollywood

also, Warner Bros. has focused waaay too much herpaderp in the direction of Looney Tunes to defile Tom and Jerry or Hanna-Barbera much
did you forget about the TOM

    AND

    JERRY KIDS

C'MON AND BEE WHERE ALL THE ACTION IIIIIIIIII-IS

Tom and Jerry Kids isn't even that bad, it's just kind of "huh?"
i actually really liked Tom and Jerry Kids, if for no other reason than it had an awesome theme song.

In other news, it is raining its ass off here, again, for like the third day in a row at least.

Remind me to hate Canadians for ruining Canada from what it used to be.

Same way I hate people who speak English.

Algeria, Austria, Bolivia, Bosnia-heregovia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cuba, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominica, Ethiopia, Honduras, Ireland, Japan, Jordan. Laos, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania. Malaysia, Montenegro, New Zealand. Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Somalia, South Africa. South Korea, Sweden, Syria, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.

    My 42 favorite nations.

Any nation that is not one of those 42 is ineligible for being completely liked and approvoved of by Aliroz. Nations that are not one of those can still be loved and adored, though, just not completely liked and approved of.

Japan has been disqualified for whaling but is still listed so the number is 42.

Nations where it is illegal to own or possess even tiny amounts of Marijuana for any reason. Also illegal to smoke it, sell it, grow it, or use it as medicine. Complete prohibition, and actually enforced. Poland has no distinction between amount of marijuana owned, and has no minimum amount that will get you sent to jail. South Korea will arrest you for having smoked Cannabis in any nation.

Hey, three of those things are great and are ways in which we fight homogenization and globalism. The other one is a nation that makes other nations nervous and the situation is just sad for everyone and the poor libraries and the innocent people on all sides ):
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
That seems like a fairly arbitrary reason to pick a favourite 42 nations, given the wealth of other social problems those nations have.

I mean you've got Somalia in there.

Somalia is fun to say. Sooooomalia. Somaaaaaaaalia. Somaliiiiiiia. It's fun to spell and write, s o m a l i a. Somalialialialialiaaaaàaaaaaaa!

Also, it has the prettiest flag. Additionally, it is the pointy part of Africa, and I love pointy things!

Also a billion being 1000 millions isn't a way you fight global homogenization, it's a way you proliferate it, and it makes no mathematical or etymological sense.

You even got our government doing it, and the BBC, and it's so stupid.

Well, we need both kings of billion. We need both numerical systems. We can't let one become dominant.

I kind of want to learn Swedish for some reason.

Also, I have to wonder if things like the "paleo diet" and a good chunk of what passes for evo-psych were influenced by that great scientific documentary series, Looney Tunes. :P

Why not?  Why not let the one that makes sense be dominant and let the cruddy one die the death it deserves?

Because we don't want everyone using the same units. The more diversity, the better.

"We" is me and the hypothetical people who think like me, and life would be boring if there was only one way to measure, tell time, count, or reckon, the same way it would be boring if there was only one language.

The benefit is that it makes me, specifically me, happy.

(okay that one was a Merrie Melodie but whatever)

    Fair enough, I guess, Aliroz.

I don't find the short billion interesting, though.  I find it irritating.
