No, LBW is most definitely an easy game, on the grounds it's kinda hard to difficulty balance an open-world Zelda game. Although maybe the final dungeon is hard? We'll see! Still got Swamp Palace and Ice Ruins to do first.
When I was like eleven I made up a card game called Guardian X that I only stopped working on when I was about fourteen. (Yes I know I'm a gigantic dork.) Basically you had a single "Guardian" (basically a monster card or creature card or whatever TCGs usually call them) who had HP, MP, a stat called "Attack Roll" which, when multiplied by a dice roll, was how much damage you dealt in an attack and various other bits of weirdness. You could use spells that sometimes required being of a specific element or having a particular weapon, and you could equip various items to boost stats and such. The goal was to destroy your opponent's "Guardian Suit" which you could attack by destroying the opponent's Guardian. Damage dealt to the G-Suit is arbitrarily linked to another stat (I designed these cards on a whim and just put in stuff that seemed cool so they weren't very aesthetically pleasing or mechanically elegant) called "G-Suit damage" which even at the time I thought was kind of dumb but I always just figured I'd made too many cards to go back on it.
All things considered though it was pretty entertaining to play with my brother.
I made a new card game while I was bored in the car. I simplified a bunch of the mechanics from the game I'd made before.
This time the goal is to get rid of all the opponent's guardians, but to prevent the battles from becoming too boring (because let's be real, one creature on the field at a time is pretty boring) there are also familiars which in addition to being summonable can be destroyed and have their techniques always available or equipped in which case your guardian can then have their passive ability.
It's a bit more complicated than that but I don't feel like explaining atm.
So tonight was fun, dinner was good (we all ended up getting personal pizzas since we decided we weren't in the mood for pasta dishes) and the cake and presents were fun.
I got a gift card, a 8asket full of yarn, some nifty coasters, and a musical jewelry 8ox filled with funky rings.

Thrillers and mysteries rely on surprises so everything is a spoiler.
Although to be fair in this case it's somewhat sortakinda apparent if you do certain things? I'd explain further but spoilers.
Also No One Has To Die was okay but it did feel really derivative and the payoff is a tad disappointing. I guess it has a lot to do with it being a fifteen minute long game, but still.
