The cynical side of me says this is because people are slower to recognise their own faults, or perhaps more forgiving of them.
I don't know what causes it. I just know it's insane how people can deride others for being creepy, and then immediately decide to stalk them in order to dredge up things they said months or years ago, and then post them elsewhere to "prove" how "creepy" they are without a shred of self-awareness of the hypocrisy.
There was one guy who followed me from Gaiaonline to TVT solely to do that. It was creepy for like, 3 minutes, then it got annoying how much he was exaggerating everything I told him.
Y'know, Superglobe, never mind callous (although it is), that kind of stalking always seemed creepy itself to me. It's why I felt so uncomfortable when This Troper started covering the forums.
It's kind of like that "You aren't a troll, you are just pissing people off with things a troll would do."
The word "creepy" has as much meaning to me as the word "role playing game" now. It means so many different things that I just don't even know what to say or do anymore.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I did too.
I remember when I discovered it it was still mostly doing Troper Tales. Even though Troper Tales was a mess, the whole thing always struck me as a stupid smear campaign, possibly wrongly.
Hence what I said about hypocrisy. It's amazing to me that--forget it being creepy as fuck here--that people have the patience to scour who knows how many months' worth of posts just to prove a point that solves. Well. Absolutely nothing.
This is basically the online equivalent of those people who whip out their cellphones at various times, film people doing something that might be sorta funny (say for instance, sucking on a lollipop perhaps a little too hard) and then show it to their friends and laugh about it. I'm honestly pretty offended by that kind of behavior (and yes, that exact situation *has* happened to me, why do you ask?) and I just have to wonder what it accomplishes beyond giving you something to laugh at.
I mean, if that's your goal, then sure I guess, go ahead, but don't pretend to be doing it to prove some profound point about society. That's just bullshit.
Yeah, people doing random funny stuff isn't funny unless you're in on the joke. It's like spewing a bunch of your family's in-jokes and memes without any context; it makes no sense.
In other news, I was looking at maps of Pikeville, KY for no good reason and found this. Yes, that is four different signed routes on one road. Wow.
Nobody else I knew thought the Chagen video was creepy as I thought it was. Only boring.
It's purely a "if you even care what creepy things people say in the form of an annotated video" kind of thing. Otherwise people will go "fake and gay".
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Speaking as someone who has had no experience with Magic, the Gelectrode looks like something I'd like to keep as a pet if I was a mad wizard or something. And for that matter, so does the Jokulmorder I saw mentioned earlier today.

O_o
Holy crap, that guy's lips. Also, I must agree with the steampunk portion of that assessment.
Interesting-looking ability, though. Then again, I don't know how well it works in practice.

Maybe I'll try it out once I've finished my first big biology project this semester. I don't want to eat up too much of my time too early. It sounds pretty interesting, though. Plus, I'll finally be able to follow all the Magic derails.
Flickerwisp A moderately sized white elemental described as being the fusion of a dove and a moth. Underneath it's body are a set of 12 legs, which it plunges into the body of it's victims and causing the soul to discharge itself into a different dimension. It uses this as a way of self-defense, and does not permanently kill the victim. It is one of the many elementals known in the entire world capable of temporary killing, something that even the most powerful creatures are unable to replicate.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
For some reason I've been thinking about the CentralAnonus Thrift Store again.
If Anonus wasn't focusing on ABC O&O graphics I'd bug him to design a sign for our store.
Hateflayer A elemental that grows at an exceptionally fast rate. It's body is composed of a red snake with giant tentacles, tendrils and arms exploding outwardly from a trail of dust that follows behind. It is extremely violent, incapable of reasoning, taming or understanding. These elementals embody the emotion of hatred, and are formed not with rituals or nature. Simply feeling the emotions of hate within the vicinity of a Cascade Bluff, will cause these elementals to explode out of your body, converting the emotion into an actualy tangible matter within your body that will scatter your remains for hundreds of miles, allowing the Hateflayer to take it's form and live it's short lifespan, destroying everything in it's path.
A friend of mine. He and I want to do a series where we watch very bad movies and record our commentary, though audio issues have sprung up time and again to mar us.
He let me make a character on his Old Republic account so I could try it out. I wasn't wild about it (aren't the Sith supposed to be extinct by that time?) but good times were had.
We recorded our viewing of The Guyver, but a glitch with microphone input just left him with a very loud copy of The Guyver. We tried again with Slipstream, but made the mistake of recording our audio in the same file as the movie. So you can hear us in some parts but not in others.
We're gonna do it right with Watchers Reborn, continuing our theme of 'Monsters and Mark Hammill'

It's basically a subtype of Elemental. Only three cards with that particular typing were ever printed.
Here are the other two:
It's interesting you should say that, because the faction that made the Gelectrode is pretty much composed solely of mad wizards.
Like these dudes;
as you can see. They're also steampunk as fuck.
if you have a lot of cheap spells, pretty well I'd imagine.
You should learn to play. It's not as complicated as people often think it is, and it's superfun.
Also you can just get Cockatrice and play online, avoiding the "costing fucktons of money" part.
Do eeeet.
And then you can join the Magic The Gathering Ravnica Roleplay that I am TOTALLY NOT STARTING WHERE WOULD YOU GUYS GET THAT KIND OF IDEA.

And actually, good night everyone else. I'm tired too.
Then they only show up again when the Old Republic happens, which is like 2000 years later IIRC.
I need to brush up on my Old Republic history. :V

Ah, I see. I was kinda disappointed with their design; red with some face tentacles? ...Cool?
And I'm okay with the designs. It's nothing spectacular, but they aren't bad.
