I wasn't born yesterday But I've succumbed to your wicked ways So I'm moving up, up, and away Up, up, and away Up, up, and away, you Seem to think I'm your property But your misconduct is trashing me Now I'm searching for the debris For the debris For the debris
I'm a victim of vandalism cuz you covered me in graffiti I'm a victim of vandalism since you left your mark on me

I'm going to get real tired of that "Bugs Bunny sawing off Florida" gif in the next few days.
It's not just me then
Also: It's not the Zimmerman verdict that's fucked up, imo; the jury was just working within the law. It's the laws that allow this kind of thing that are fucked up. Wish more people could see that...
It's in response to the Zimmerman trial. I mean, it's been there before. It's kind of Tumblr's kneejerk response to anything bad happening in Florida, like mosquitos.
I understand the sentiment completely, but it still kind of bugs me because that's where I live and they're blaming the entirety of Florida for the blind stupidity of a minority. Yes, there are people who support the Zimmerman case, but there are people like that everywhere.
^ Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. "Stand your ground" laws, on a whole, seem to be flawed. The discrepancies between this case and the case of Marissa Alexander are enough proof, but there are generally a lot of cases where interpretation of that law allows people to, say, chase down a possible burglar and stab him. And cases where people disobey orders from police officers.
And that's not even going into the various cases where it's "white man vs. a minority"

This is EXACTLY how I felt when everyone was all "FUCK YOU OHIO" after that abortion bill passed a week or two ago... >_<
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
This isn't quite the same, but I felt resentful back after the election when some loons wanted Colorado to secede from the union
So these people, obviously representative of the whole state (and probably living away from Denver), were given a response akin to "see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya"
Anyway I haven't been following the Zimmerman trial enough

It's a good thing Anonus is with me
Otherwise this weekend would be crushingly depressing
Technically, I could point out the philosophical state of mind that only exists after a bad thing happens, as though you're predisposed to good things and thus mentally thrown for a loop when bad things happen.
But I think it ignores some higher philosophical ramblings, that I might not be experienced enough to argue.
True. Either way there is a quite large mix between good things and suckish ones. But such is life.
In other news, I want to draw Thomas Was Alone fanart for some reason. I feel like nobody will get it and I'm just gonna be doodling pointlessly but still. The sketchbook's sweet call... It beckons.
Instead, we're reading about the various flaws with "stand your ground" laws.
A number of drug dealers have used the law to excuse killings done when a drug deal goes sour.
And the consistency between rulings is weaker than a wet paper towel. The exact same crime can
And despite this, the task force assigned by the State Government to investigate the law found that, essentially, nothing needed to be changed. The task force filled with people who had drafted and voted on the original bill.
So, what I'm saying is that this law is both HORRIBLE AND RIGGED.

I also heard that Johnny Depp's Tonto makeup had seeped into his skin, but that was just the Onion.

Unconditional positive regard to those who hurt. They're usually just scared.

I've always felt that 'man' works a bit better when using that specific expression

Well, that's it. I'm going to bed and when I wake up, everything will be fixed.

Like I'm fatigued and tired and and shit but my body doesn't want to fall asleep if that makes sense
urgh
I fell asleep and slept for a lot of hours.
I am displeased that random old white guys shooting teenagers on the way home because they are black is acceptable.
I wonder what to do now that I am awake?
Watch the heap and keep it safe.
I do not get how this guy can be so good at shmups. He is amazing. :o
I am hungry but not sure what to eat if anything. Do I eat anymore?
