  • Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

Honestly, I'm okay with beards, but teenager beards almost always look terrible, and teenager beards on people with babyface like me
    always look terrible.

    Hahaha corporate siblinghood

    That was 2005

I wonder if it's still like that
  • So I'm on World 3 of Rayman 2: Revolution.

It's fun. Very 1990s, though this is by no means a bad thing. Only complaint I'd really have of it so far is that sometimes the shooting can be a bit herky-jerky for my taste, though maybe that's because I'm firing with a face button and not a trigger. Ah well, I'm mostly used to it by now.

Also, loving the inclusion of an actual, y'know, plot. Origins was a great game but it did leave something to be desired story-wise; Revolution/The Great Escape, on the other hand, successfully blends the ridiculousness of the Glade of Dreams with a real story one can get into, and I'm enjoying that.

I wonder if Frenchaboos exist? We already have fetishes for Japan and England, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Any songs other than, ummmmm what I have shared with you anyway if you call those 'songs.'

Well, I meant the song that shares your name.

Also, I have enjoyed your musics.

cuz Internet culture apparently equals more monies

Honestly, I do find some of their merch cool and all because some of my interests are reflected (they are actually pretty great about Regular Show swag, online anyway) but I wouldn't buy it from there because it's always cheaper on Amazon.

Lava lamps, now with 100% real lava.
  • there was also Spencer's which I'm pretty sure isn't a chain that underwent a similar makeover.

aw hell-yeah glow in the dark things
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
Man, it's been years since I was in a Spencer's. But I remember them having lava lamps. Also this thing that was like a big fake boob that sits on your desk. In my less tasteful moments I kinda wish I had that too
  • there was also Spencer's which I'm pretty sure isn't a chain that underwent a similar makeover.

Spencer's is absolutely a chain, they've got like 600 locations.

I actually do kind of like Spencer's a bit more though because they've stuck to their guns a bit. You can still find lava lamps and Tesla coils and other funky weird stuff at ours.

Also they have the old logo.
  • Spencer's was the place to go if--for whatever reason--you abso-fucking-lutely needed a disco ball.

I'm curious Imi, is there more than one Spencer's or did you go to the one in the Lehigh Valley Mall? You do live near enough that that's not totally out of the question.

edit: ninja'd with a response. Well that's good to know.

also Spencer's (at least the one around here) started selling a lot of band merch, which isn't really a bad thing, but it's not what I go there for.

  • ...Isn't Spencer's the name of a sex stuff shop?
  • I also remember that the one I used to go to had something called a "light keyboard" (I think?) and they only kept like five in stock at a time. It seemed to be some sort of thing you could use to make a lightshow with a keyboard (the instrument), but I never figured out how the thing worked. I never bought one either since the things were like $600.
  • ...Isn't Spencer's the name of a sex stuff shop?

not the one we're talking about.

...Isn't Spencer's the name of a sex stuff shop?

That's the back of Spencer's. I don't really go there, naturally. No interest.

The front is just raunchy (but SFW) stuff and/or nerdy things. It's really not out of the question to see stuff like my utterly innocent Jake the Dog hat paired up with "I -shamrock- DRUNK SLUTS" shirts.
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
Yeah, Spencer's has both SFW and NSFW merchandise, so to speak. The "naughty" stuff is mostly in the back.
