Well, Spain, it might just be your attachment to the site showing up, and there's nothing wrong with still caring about it.

You don't have to entirely write TVT off, even if you think you want to, but if you feel like you absolutely must to better yourself, go right ahead.

I used to want to find a forum similar to how I thought TVT was. That is, friendly, intelligent, civil and permitting discussion of just about anything.

Before i settled on TVT, I spent some time lurking on the xkcd forums, since I was looking for something that was geeky and fannish, but without 4chan's immaturity, ED's bitterness or SA's arrogance. And I actually kind of liked it, though I didn't stick with it.

That said, I don't really follow xkcd anymore, so it's probably not an option.
