Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Since registration for next semester's classes is next week, I've been thinking about how I'm going to fulfill my major requirements.
This wouldn't be a problem at all if it weren't for one thing. First, I'm a junior this year. Second, bio majors need to take eight upper-level electives, two from each professor. (Yes, our science departments are tiny. We're a pretty small school.) One of the professors is going on sabbatical all of my senior year, and it's only feasible for me to take one of her classes next semester.
However, there is something I can do. My school lets us take classes at other schools in Atlanta if we make the proper arrangements. If I can take one of her classes (or a reasonable equivalent to it) there next year, that could solve my problem. Of course, I'd have to make sure it's on days I have no other classes.

So... should I try to do this?
If it's close by and not a problem to get to and from, yes

Anonus: I'm cautiously optimistic about that. On the minus side, it would be a pretty awkward social situation to put myself in, and my first choice of school is in a completely different part of town. But I might not have a choice.
Here's the thing: my only other option would be to take an extra semester, which I would honestly be pretty happy to do. But I'm not sure if I'll still get the scholarships I need after my fourth year is done.

Argh, that sucks. But I'm glad you're okay.
I probably shouldn't have taken my Melatonin so early. I'm already starting to get drowsy and it's not even 10 yet.
Wow, I'm running late tonight. Traffic was really, really horrible tonight and I'm seriously considering talking the damn bus tomorrow because of it. :P
Also, I just heard that my stepdad got called in to work on a water main break, and he is pissed.

Have you talked to an adviser/administrative person about that issue? My knowledge of college stuff like that is pretty limited, but I remember hearing about people getting waivers for required classes when extenuating circumstances like that happened and they asked for permission from some school official.

I would talk to one of the biology professors about it, but none of them are my official advisors. Plus, they all seem pretty busy right now.
Argh, sorry if I seem like a chronic complainer lately. It's just that lots of stuff has been getting to me lately and it's tough to sort out.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

Ah, okay, though if you have a science department or something, I guess there might be someone there you could ask. I figure you could probably still email one of those professors too, in the unlikely event that they do respond. It seems to me like it is worth a try at least, but obviously you know your professors better than I do.

So this morning I had a bizarre dream. I had to drive to Cleveland by myself--about a two hour drive--to go pick up my mother.
I was coming up I-71, a boring, flat highway that runs through a boring, flat rural state. But then were were signs on either side of the roadway:
Suddenly the road narrowed to two lanes with no shoulders, and there were tons of bushes and trees and shrubs and vegetation all around. I had to slow down to 55, because the roadway was covered with leaves, and also Bigfoot kept darting across the road.
After a mile or two of this I said "fuck it" and decided to wake up.
The film left out John Nash's divorce and his alleged gay relationship with a student, apparently turning it into a "story about the triumph of heterosexual love" or something like that.

One time I read in an argument that the term "white trash" is racist
not because it singles out poor white rednecks, but because you never hear the terms "black trash" or "hispanic trash" and therefore it elevates the caucasian chaff over everyone else
that's just one example of how people can find anything, including A Beautiful Mind, to be *phobic or *ist

Pop sensation PSY, whose hit song ‘Gangnam Style’ recently smashed the charts worldwide, wants to see ‘Gangnam Style fever’ to sweep through North Korea.
PSY revealed his wish after a reporter in Paris, the latest stop on his popular Western European tour, asked him whether the global passion for Gangnam Style has yet crossed the DMZ.
"We cannot communicate with them, but it's a worldwide phenomenon so hopefully they do the dance," he said. "I never get any news from them, but I hope they enjoy the song, too."
I haven't talked to Ally in a few days because I've been sleep-deprived, and I have trouble talking to her when I can't think straight. Hopefully I'll be up to it tomorrow.

This is why PSY is just an amazing person in general.

God, my sleep schedule is starting to suck. I seriously need my morning caffeine, it seems, cuz I pass out in the afternoon without it.
I guess that means I'm addicted again. Bluh.

Problem is I've been penniless and out of mugs all week. Luckily I ran the dishwasher tonight with all the cups in it. :)
Also I got my best report card in years yesterday. 3 As, 3 Bs and 2 Cs. :D
I think kids have some superpower of being better at games than adults
