Lay one monster on top of another monster that has A) the same level as it and B) a level equal to the Xyz monster's rank (the black stars, what Xyzes have instead of levels), and then lay the Xyz monster on top of those two cards.
So I've decided to add Solemn Wishes to my deck. Since about half the Gusto archetype's effects have variants on "and then draw a card, just because you deserve it."
well Gem-Knight Pearl (who lacks an effect) has 2600/1800, I think.
Daigusto Emeral has only 1800/800, but has two effects
Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects: ●Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 3 monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle them into your Deck, then draw 1 card. ●Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 non-Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.
So it depends, I suppose.

there are currently only seven cards in that archetype. Even by including the maximum number of copies allowed by all three, I'm still 19 cards short of a playable deck.
Any suggestions as to what else should go in there?

Yugioh's company, Wizards, or both?
Technically the cost of the decks doesn't matter too much to Wizards is that's just stores and people selling cards after they got the money for the packs.
Of course people will likely by a ton of packs to get the cards without paying in a store or the net for them.
Plus Wizards figured out the can just make the most recent sets tournament legal. Thus rotating out the older sets once most the cards have been sold, and rotating in new sets for people to spend cash.
It's an ingenious bit of capitalism at work, it is.
Other than a handful of "illegal" cards that aren't explicitly on the banlist like YuJo Friendship and those ritual cards that don't have a corresponding ritual spell.
