Once me and my friends went over an idea for a Pokemon/Advance Wars crossover.
It was a fairly decent idea methinks. The COs you could play as would be various Gym Leaders and Elite Four reps as the good guys with the various Teams as the bad guys
Units would be based off of Pokemon of their respective types, which works well for most types because they usually have at least one Type/Flying and Type/Water combination, so they can have air and naval units
We got pretty creative with some of the units too, one of the team rocket units was a rocket blimp/air balloon that bombed ground units with Koffing and Voltorbs
Also the artillery units were Pokemon with charge moves such as Solar Beam or Hyper Beam

There is Pokémon Conquest if you're looking for a Pokémon strategy game, but that sounds pretty cool.
I must admit, I don't often think about Pokémon participating in large-scale battles like that.
i'd feel bad hogging it when nobody else is around. i mean, i'm ready for Ellie to leave the apartment, but that's moving the story along, so if Sredni or Spacey or anyone had anything they wanted to do before leaving i don't want to stop them.
my DS does not like my home wi-fi for some reason so i will have to go elsewhere to do the Keldeo mystery gift it seems
^ Meloetta looks kinda eh to me, low speed and i'm not sure how well it's whole gimmick works in more serious battling, interesting typing though, might fit some teams well
though some of their suggested movesets and stuff can be kinda shitty yeah, and they often lack creativity and miss the big picture with putting together teams and whatnot
