thinking about "Giant Woman" again, Opal looks much less discordant than you'd expect a fusion between characters who were at the time portrayed as opposites to be
she has four arms, yes, but she also has just two eyes
Garnet has three, Sugilite has five, Sardonyx has four, we don't know how many Alexandrite has...
The reason Garnet has two eyes is that Ruby and Sapphire have two different ways of seeing(futuresight and normal sight) and that's one of the few aspects of their personality that can't be reconciled just due to physiological necessity.

We watched up to "Steven and the Stevens"
If I hadn't seen what comes later, I'd wonder what exactly I saw in Amethyst. She hurts the team more than she helps it, she often does childish or callous things and rarely feels any guilt or responsibility for them...

I always found it weird how impulsively Connie and Steven decide to run away from home.

She's Pearl. I'm sure she's worried about something.

I definitely liked "Garnet's Universe" better a second time around when I realized how very Steven the story is. It really does feel like something he'd make up.
I remember someone pointing out that Garnet's Universe aired right after the "snake people, or sneeple" episode where Steven was basically kidnapped by Ronaldo, so Ronaldo being the villain might have been a way for Steven to work through any fear left over from that incident.

I feel like "The Answer" got into it a little bit, albeit not to the same extent.
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
I caught up on everything.
I really would not have expected this Cluster thing to be like. An anime season thing. Like you know how whenever a long-running anime does a new arc they change the opening/ending? That's what they did, only with Steven's shirts, because of course, that's where he has to dry them. In a field and not the goddess' hand.
