You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
You know what I would have liked? A Start menu laid out like the Windows 7 one but themed flat to match 8/10.
There's probably some third-party thing I could get for that, but the Windows 10 Start menu is close enough that I can't be bothered.

I've spent enough time with aquariums to have a ton of sympathy for fish. I am very reluctant to eat lobster because some people think it's acceptable to throw a living creature with a nervous system into boiling water.
the aquarium trade kind of sucks too. they've saved a couple of species inadvertently (like African Dwarf Frogs, for example) but it's got a lot of ugly sides.
honestly i love Shellac (and I have a feeling I'll love Big Black), even if i'm a little put off that Steve didn't think about context for more than like 3 seconds when he named a band "Rapeman".
That was twenty-five years ago, granted, and it wasn't really of much consequence to the music, at least from a glance through the "albums" (they have like, less than 5 tracks each. fucking punk bands.) whether or not musicians putting out oblique music have more or less of a duty than the average person to avoid being offensive is a debate in and of itself...
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
Crustaceans being boiled alive isn't much different from mammals being slaughtered, or from the sort of grotesque suffering regularly inflicted on live animals inside of the laboratories that produce the drugs and other chemical products we use. Even if you go completely vegan, if you live on the grid you're still contributing to the inhumane killing of animals. There is no escape. Humans are parasitic by nature to begin with. And then there's the subject of humans inflicting suffering on *other* humans, and being parasitic to each other, which is a whole different story.
he does jungley breakcore and sometimes dubstep with goofy samples and also ambient music
he owns tigerbeat6 records, which has released/distributed stuff from Black Dice, Dälek, The Bug, Cex, dj /rupture and a bunch of other people I forget
I don't really listen to any genre Steve Albini has had a big hand in but he sort of seems like a dick.
My impression is that he can be abrasive but he's not a bad guy. I ought to read through this part of this thread sometime to get a better impression. (Electrical is him!)
It's far too late for me to be looking at this stuff, but I love artist community stuff. (I was looking around because Rapeman did a song called "Kim Gordon's Panties" which this thread (supposedly? how do I even verify the truth of this source?) elaborates on; he supposedly always had a cordial relationship with her band, as the first thread I link suggests. search "panties" in the second thread for what I found.)
@Miko: Well, it's not so much about abolition as it is about reducing the suffering involved in the process where possible. I saw a picture of a guy cutting a crab's "head" off with a pair of scissors, which is gruesome but certainly more humane than boiling it alive. (I don't know how feasible it would be to do this to a lobster.)
they have this weird thing where they serve vegetarian food and they say it's still wrong to kill plants but they are doing it to serve krishna so it's okay or something weird like that
Comments
Ridley Township is apparently strongly Republican

i've never had and don't intend to try lobster, but in general i don't see anything wrong with seafood
well, other than the hair, that's a pretty good impression of Albini.

Hey TotalBiscuit, why don't you take your framerate obsession and shove it up your oh-so-famous youtube channel's asshole.
Also all those people who regard you as a god can go shove their heads up their assholes too.
