This is kinda sad. This Kraig Kalashian guy was in three failed bands at least (this one, Dogfight, and Gutterstar. I can't find much about either, but they existed apparently) and now he does....landscaping.
Someone on /r/vaporwave ripped and uploaded a collection of recorded Weather Channel background music from 1992 to 2004.
Thousands of songs, so you should make sure you have the space for it if you're interested. Also! The Local On The 8's Voice is still present on the tracks, recall that these were directly ripped, so the music is not unmolested.

The Mighty Sparrow album is good. Meet You At The Tiki Bar is godawful but I sort of expected it to be. I just have a weird obsession with fauxlynesian kitsch.
I have entered an odd place lately where I only listen to one artist for a little while before moving on.
Currently said artist is Ceephax Acid Crew. If anyone knows any good stuff by him other than United Acid Emirates or anything similar (especially to his slightly less "hard" stuff. I care more about vibes than percussive trickiness) I'd be appreciative.
because The Life of Pablo is only available via TIDAL, which isn't available in Japan, this dude tried to remake the whole album without ever listening to it, via information gleaned from Whosampled and Genius
They're sure to disagree--what else are they good for?--but despite all their apocalyptic integrity and unmediated whoziwhatsis, the achievement of their first halfway decent record is strictly formal: simple, rhythmic songs that neither disappear beneath nor get the better of the clanging and grinding of their brutal late-industrial guitars. Whatever credibility the guitars lend to their no doubt painful but nonetheless hackneyed manic depression is undermined by their usual sociopathic fantasies, and in the end the music isn't ugly or ominous or bombs bursting midair. It's just interesting.
this Christgau review of Bad Moon Rising is a little bit harsh but mostly has it right

It turns out that Daydream Nation might be the only Sonic Youth album I really like, which is a wee bit disappointing...
Try listening to Washing Machine.
going in order through the whole discography, so I will!
I personally think Bad Moon Rising is underrated for precisely that reason: People ooh and aah about Sonic Youth's noisy moments but at their core they were just a really solid rock band with a lot of great riffs and sonic ideas that later coalesced into great songs.
I do agree with Christgau, however, that their '90s/'00s work is their best.

I hope they're good.
Spanish, if anyone knows anything about these guys please fill me in)
So it's hard to say.
