They've since disbanded bc Purrp kinda started dissing everyone and then got involved in a fight with a 13 year old so dude's fallen pretty far from where he was at his peak.
correction: since purrp got UTTERLY BURNED on twitter by said 13 yr old
also i swear he was like 11 even or somthing mad like that

Lil Shark's tweets were ghostwritten by his older brother, who was 13
SO a while back, Hopsin, legendary dumbass and Funk Volume labelheaded, issued a public challenge to any group or clique that he would battle them on record.
The Horseshoe Gang, a Slaughterhouse affiliate group (and if you're not familiar with Slaughterhouse, they're affiliated with Eminem) responded.
Homophobia aside I am glad that someone finally put the man in his place.
Horseshoe Gang is represented here by the mushroom person.
[9:10:19 PM] Magic Jane: if not that's cool, I'll nerd elsewhere
[9:10:32 PM] Cerise: Well, what kind of album was it?
[9:10:41 PM] Magic Jane: rap album
[9:10:59 PM] Cerise: by?
[9:11:10 PM] Magic Jane: a dude named MC Grav, but that's not the interesting part
[9:11:21 PM] Magic Jane: (Grav, incidentally, is from your neck of the woods I think)
[9:19:42 PM] Magic Jane: bab
[9:19:42 PM] Magic Jane: ?
[9:19:50 PM] Cerise: sorry, was typing for the thread
[9:19:53 PM] Magic Jane: ohh
[9:19:57 PM] Cerise: so what's interesting about this album?
[9:20:02 PM] Magic Jane: well
[9:20:10 PM] Magic Jane: it was almost entirely produced by a fellow named Kanye West
[9:20:15 PM] Cerise: huh
[9:21:05 PM] Magic Jane: it's not the weirdest production job Kanye did in his early days but it's interesting nonetheless
[9:25:02 PM] Magic Jane: ah
[9:25:09 PM] Magic Jane: apparently not only was this one of West's first production jobs
[9:25:11 PM] Magic Jane: it was the first
[9:25:26 PM] Cerise: Hm, quite an interesting find indeed
[9:25:39 PM] Magic Jane: I'm gonna listen to it after I get something to drink
[9:25:55 PM] Magic Jane: it's not a terribly long album and I need something to de-stress, the prospect of work in the morning has me all high-strung again
[9:26:26 PM] *** Cerise smooches ***
[9:26:32 PM] Cerise: You can do it :3
[9:26:40 PM] Cerise: Also, I did the hint thing
[9:27:32 PM] Magic Jane: yeah I saw, I still don't get it
[9:27:35 PM] Magic Jane: I think Tach might though
[9:41:25 PM] *** Cerise snuggles ***
[9:41:41 PM] *** Magic Jane hugs ***
[9:41:51 PM] Magic Jane: this album is so 90s it hurts
[9:42:41 PM] Cerise: really?
[9:42:45 PM] Magic Jane: yes
[9:43:03 PM] Magic Jane: Grav sounds a lot like Busta Rhymes and the subject matter is very lyrical miracle stuff
[9:43:05 PM] Magic Jane: it's not bad though
[9:43:33 PM] Magic Jane: and the rhymes are like mostly about how Grav is better at rapping than other people are
[9:43:46 PM] Magic Jane: I'm coming across as harsher than I intend to, I actually like albums like this.
[9:43:58 PM] Cerise: I see
[9:44:36 PM] Magic Jane: "visions of the world bein' mine, through blood, sweat, tears, and my rhymes" pffft
[9:48:17 PM] Magic Jane: something interesting and kinda nerdy is that you can immediately tell what beats are Kanye's
[9:48:49 PM] Magic Jane: a lot of 90s producers would loop existing drum breaks, but Kanye used individual chopped up kicks and snares, so his beats have a sort of punchy uneven quality to them.
i am not a picky person when it comes to lyrics generally but there just like wasnt a single line that stood out to me or felt engaging?
yeah it's definitely
he sort of tries to do the waka flocka thing where he just sort of hammers words into your head until they stick, but he's not nearly as charismatic as Waka Flocka.
Comments
also i swear he was like 11 even or somthing mad like that
maybe im biased because i find devilman's flow and voice in general really grating
Quite the find!
lol
so uhhh how about rated r by queens of the stone age, that's a good album
it makes your average bedroom black metal band sound like tech-house
