I think that it's kind of important to look at Björk's music from a whole-album perspective rather than a song-by-song one, even if those songs are exceptional on their own.
I'm not sure what album to recommend you listen to, though. Vespertine is probably my favourite, but it has a very particular, very strange sound to it; Post is more varied, but less coherent and consistent; and Debut is very accessible, but at points far too straightforward.
holy shit the little bit of editing they do to "I Don't Like" makes the song so much more tolerable.
Finally got to that part. Their mix is good.
i didn't see what was so bad about the original, though.
well, the remix (with Kanye West, Pusha T, and Jadakiss) is already more tolerable than Chief Keef (who does the hook and has the most simplistic verse) by himself on the original.
also I don't understand how Yung Chop is successful as a producer and I'm not. -.-
I'm not caring so much for the song by Sasha Go-Hard and the Zebrakatz one that follows it though.
This troper was a Smug Snake in the past, but recently graduated in stats. It was in a combat based MMORPG with my Kingdom Hearts themed OC. What really bothers me, is how much I enjoyed hurting them! I don't bite, much!
is it just me or does anyone else feel that it's going a bit overboard to say that one should not call a penis a "male sex organ"/"male genitals"/"male genitalia" just because it's on someone who does not identify as male? i mean, going by this reasoning, one could say that a preserved specimen penis or a wax model of a penis should not be called a "male sex organ" because it's not attached to something that identifies as any gender...
i mean, hell, the way sexes are defined scientifically is by what supplies the cells that transmit or receive genetic matter, so we have a "female penis" that's properly called an ovipositor because it deposits cells that receive genetic material, despite looking like a phallus, and properly not called a penis because it does not deposit cells that transmit genetic material to other cells for reproductive purposes.
and so the penis, as an organ that transmits sperm, identifies male sex.
i guess one could say that "male sex organ" contains the phrase "male sex" which qualifies it to be referring to sex as opposed to gender, while "male genitals" does not contain that phrase and also contains something that sounds a bit like the word "gender" which is different from "sex", though it's pretty well recognized that "genitalia" = "genitals" = "sex organs" = "primary sex characteristics"
she was saying that solely equating 'penis' with 'maleness' in the name of 'biology' is just another way of how people attempt to delegitimize those who have penises that don't identify as male

The issue is that if what you actually mean is a penis, why are you saying "male genitals" instead of "penis"? Whether or not you are intending to make the statement that everyone with a penis is male, insisting on using that terminology when it's completely unnecessary has that implication. Especially if (since I'm fairly certain this is an offshoot of the whole Laci Green thing) you're already known for being shitty to trans people.
Also, a wax model of a penis is not a male sex organ, on account of how it's not in fact a sex organ. And if you insist on calling it a "wax model of a male sex organ" the question is again why you feel like using a phrase with twice as many syllables that has no semantic difference except possibly making trans people uncomfortable.
For that matter, insisting on distinguishing sex vs gender and taking great pleasure into saying trans women are "of the male sex" even though they have "female gender identity" also means you're a dick, regardless of whether or not one is defining terms such that that's technically correct.
Right, that's exactly my point. As best I can tell there is no actual reason to insist on saying "male sex organ" other than to intentionally upset trans people.
Huh. When you use euphemisms to remove the clinical implications of 'sex organ' or 'penis', then defining the cock as a male/female body part just seems silly. It's the flesh stick that you stick into the beaver when you want to make a baby or feel good, or into other holes or crevices if you're into that, and that's all it needs to be. That is to say, in a more academic lingo, defining it by function makes a lot more sense given that, based on our current knowledge of how gender works, defining it strictly by sex/gender is inevitably gonna result in inaccuracy.
Okay I found something that totally reminded me of this thread
Somebody on my feed was going SCHOOL (SHOOTING) OF ROCK
but the comments are mostly filled with people talking about the lackluster characterization and choppy plot (and shadman) rather than react to the fact that this is a school shooting joke
but yeah theres those too I guess?
"School of Rock birthed modern " I was born in the wrong generation" -ers. This art speaks to me on a spiritual level."
it appears to be made by that shadman guy or one of his friends so expecting it to actually mean anything other than "I, the artist, am edgy as fuck" is probably a fool's game
in that critical mode, what i can get out of it is that the artist, in the form of some school shooters who think they look cool, does not like the kind of classic rock music evangelized by the school of rock guy. right?

The school shooting joke is an easy target, when there's tons more to criticize.
For example, there's no way a shotgun at a range *that* close, even sawed-off would have that much spread, and looking at the earlier panels, the blood spatter from the students shouldn't be reaching that far, especially since we have Jack Black for comparison. Honestly, just sophomoric ballistic representation. And that's not even getting into how two grown-men snuck into a school for middle-schoolers.
Anyways, it's Shadman, so we really shouldn't be giving it the time of day, for the edgelord feeds on cheap controversy.
Actually the thing that weirds me out the most is the fact that Harris and Klebold have a fandom.
Like, maybe they watched the documentary on the Columbine Killers at a young age and DIDN'T QUITE GET that they were supposed to be villains and they murdered a whole fuckton of kids. From what I've seen, a lot of their fandom are bullied kids who look up to somebody who "defeated their bullies" but haven't really let reality set in.
I'd like to assume people just enjoy being part of the H&K fandom to of course, BE EDGY, to SHOCK and HORRIFY. But the thing is, humans do things that don't make sense. Especially emotional, younger kids with no role models.
I'll leave the rest of my musings to a PM. Whatever.
she was saying that solely equating 'penis' with 'maleness' in the name of 'biology' is just another way of how people attempt to delegitimize those who have penises that don't identify as male
yeah, i think i can make out that message, and i agree with that point, though the delivery is a bit...iffy.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Murderers having a fandom is, unfortunately, not uncommon.

FWIW there are places where "penis" is censored out...such as the Steam forums lol.
But yeah, to be fair, as nitya said, "male genitalia"/"male genitals" includes both penis and testicles, strictly speaking, and probably also a few other things, though that's sort of aside from this point.
(FWIW I do not know who Laci Green is.)
I don't see a reason to keep on refer to "male genitals" (or "male genitalia") when one could simply say "penis" though. That said there are contexts in which one would need to talk about a penis (and accompanying other organs) possessed by a person who isn't cisgender, such as medical contexts, though presumably they'd be quite capable of using the term "penis".
Murderers having a fandom is, unfortunately, not uncommon.
People tend to admire others for great feats that nobody else can do. Throwing away the normal life and following your heart in times of despair is an admirable feat. When others say "you can't do this" and "you'll never succeed", seeing those who don't listen to that and striking out and accomplishing feats fills people's hearts with hope, makes people want to follow them.
Just like making great music, going pro in a sport, creating a masterpiece or achieving a great record, going nuts and killing people is a feat that some people will admire.
