Now I'm thinking of this thing that the Phoenix New Times has/had, which I think was called the same thing, though, this being Phoenix, you can sorta guess the bent of it.
Honestly i'm not sure whether i should be parsing that sentence as 'never happened', 'never happens', 'never could happen' or 'never will happen' which are all entirely different things.
i'm also not sure if by 'colonisation' you mean colonialism or something more vague.
I've started to get bored with tumblr. It's all started to feel far too repetitive, which is exacerbated by reblogs and people reblogging each others' shit.

I know the feeling. A year ago I was addicted to the site and couldn't stop refreshing, but now it's just seeing the same six or seven posts 30 times a day and very few of them particularly interest me. :\

I mean the colonisation of white lands has never happened according to tumblr.

Practical complaint about the new Tumblr setup: Because the "new post" page is now integrated into the dashboard, clicking the "Reblog" button from an individual post's page loads your dash then loads the "new post" page on top of it.
What a waste of bandwidth. I always keep my dash open in another tab; I don't need another copy of it opened when all I want to do is reblog a post directly from a blog.
I really wish Dale gave that essay some headers or something. He has so many interesting points, but it's hard to grasp them when they're scattered all over the essay.
I thought that they flowed pretty logically. Then again, that's how I write, too, so it's not surprising that I found it easy to read where others might not have.

Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
I thought most of this furry drama was over and done with.
Then again, I've never seen much of the inner workings of the fandom.
I'd say this is more of an otherkin thing. But I'm not going to talk any further about this because after all, there is a sticky dedicated to not discussing that kind of thing and I've had problems with that in the past.

I am however going to write an angry rant about Brown's article on my tumblr.
So uh, incoming.

Yeah I'm thinking of nothing either.
Unless we go like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in history to pre-Roman times. Since I think Persia briefly owned parts of Greece?

I would comment but I've never seen half the things he's talking about.
Experience has taught me that any lengthy essay on pop culture is usually bullshit, but idk.
