...I don't see how it's "mean" to make zoobe videos of kin posts?
see i don't mean that it's outlandish, i mean, like, i'm kinda glad they said "it's like fictionkin", although that in itself is still sorta weird to me
i don't have a problem with people calling themselves a cat or a princess or whatever
i think the seriousness with which people feel the need to assert the 'validity' of these identities (valid how exactly?) is kind of stupid, but i'm not like raging over it
the blog strikes me as a little mean but not really more so than any other blog or thread that mocks websites and people who post on them, of which there are many

I guess I'm off base, because I didn't really interpret that blog as mocking kin stuff? It just seemed like your typical "zoobe is funny" kinda thing.

Well
I do feel kinda bad for laughing at it now
I admit I didn't actually bother to click through to the blog before linking it, it was just something I saw in the tags
also i feel like i need to clarify what i was saying here
to me it is a little strange that 'being royal' is seen as a fictional thing like 'being a dragon' or 'being a vampire' or whatever
without the 'it's like fictionkin' i might have assumed it was a joke thing, like saying 'i identify as someone much wealthier and more privileged than you, respect my identity you bunch of peasants'
so i would have been kind of relieved at 'it's like fictionkin', except that i am already accustomed to CA being 'princesskin', which makes the idea that royalty are like fictional characters or supernatural beings a lot easier for me to get
that is all, i'm not mocking anyone, i'm not trying to ruin anyone's fun
none of this is a big deal but this whole discussion made me feel awful

you're fine, tach, sorry
I am being vague and it is my fault that you assumed I/anyone was talking about you.

I think the relation to fictionkin is if you identified as, say, Princess Nautilus. She's a fictional character, but she's also royalty, so you'd be royaltykin in that case as well.
Of course, this is all a bit silly because it's so inherently subjective.
Also, when did people start saying "fictionkin" instead of "fictive"? I notice that seems to have changed...
Not to say that this guy wasn't a fucking horrible person or anything, but seeing people on tumblr get hype over someone's imminent death was really...startling.

Are you using the app or the mobile site? And on what operating system?
The death penalty is sustained by the people who deserve it. These exceptions ("I don't like the death penalty but-") are a significant factor keeping it acceptable.

i wasn't talking fiscally, i know i'm not that
well, this plus views on self-defence, property rights and some other stuff
frankly making fun of people for being "fat and ugly" seems a lot meaner to me than making fun of them for being *kin
i don't want to be mean or reactionary or anything like that, and it's just something i was worrying about
