There's a lot of similarities with the eventual US series (Chrysalis produced both), but the first thing I notice is that the UK pilot is quite a bit dirtier. It was obviously made on a much smaller budget, and the London it shows looks like something out of Threads. :P The US version also made some of the characters more sympathetic; Bryce is a twat in the UK pilot, and I take no shame in saying that. :P
