Can somebody PLEASE let Ms. Teacherson out of the supply closet now?
An engineer, a physicist and a mathematician find themselves in an anecdote, indeed an anecdote quite similar to many that you have no doubt already heard.
After some observations and rough calculations the engineer realizes the situation and starts laughing.
A few minutes later the physicist understands too and chuckles to himself happily as he now has enough experimental evidence to publish a paper.
This leaves the mathematician somewhat perplexed, as he had observed right away that he was the subject of an anecdote, and deduced quite rapidly the presence of humour from similar anecdotes, but considers this anecdote to be too trivial a corollary to be significant, let alone funny.
Today I went in a nearby mall which I'd read was a virtual disaster zone. Yeah, pretty much everything is closed off. Very dark. There are two stores still in operation. I remember when it still had some life left in it.

Man, I can't wait to go to Georgia next month. We're apparently going to spend some more time in Atlanta this time around...

I knew my laptop had good battery life, but I didn't realize it had a Magic Wonder Battery:

@Lee: That video had me laughing out loud so many times. I love the completely deadpan way he reads the nonsensically-translated safety disclaimers.

Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Apparently, he made a sort-of sequel featuring a toy named "SUPER INTELLECT RACING HIGH QUALITY." It's at around 15:45 in this video:

Night, Imi.
Lazuli: Apparently, there's an alternate scoring mode based on Ikaruga, but otherwise, it's mostly online multiplayer and updated graphics.
Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
I'll argue that even for a Sega Saturn game, Radiant Silvergun has aged extremely well. Even more so than pretty much all PS1 games included -- this is Treasure we're talking about, after all.

I think I'll try to sleep earlier tonight. See you tomorrow, everyone.
Lovely, the plugin itself is broken and if it's not a problem in one of its dependencies, i386 users have to wait for Adobe to fix it. :P Fuck that, I'm putting Gnash back on.
And I was going to see if this Compaq can do 3D, but....the VGA chip is a Rage Mobility. Which is Mach64, and thus way too old for DRI to support. YAY STUCK IN 1995 HERE
Forsythe: Yup, and I remember that, because it was one of the few chips (the S3 Trio64 and VIRGE were the others) that had decent programming information available. Most other vendors were like "Programming info? We have Windows drivers, you know..." :P
Now, though, the order of desirability is roughly Intel (more because it Just Works, though Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge have gone a long way to fix the performance issues), NVIDIA, ATI, then everything else (because at this point, there's very little else).

Super Lazuli: I don't remember any glitches in the original release, tbh
lee4hmz: It's come a long way, especially since the days of configuring X-Windows with the ominous fear of destroying your graphics chipset or monitor -- which I never heard of anyone doing, but damn did the setup make you worry about it.

While trying to imagine a world where the Bell System breakup never happened, it occurred to me that modern-day operating systems would probably be much different--there'd likely be no Linux, because Bell Labs would still have been required to distribute Unix for free...

This looks like a good movie

If it's been updated, that's different.
I meant no direct ports.
Promise!

Question: did they keep in any annoying glitches from the original release?
