This isn't really a suggestion, since I agree that characters should not be soapboxes, but it's possible to give a character a political voice without destroying their autonomy, isn't it?
I mean, for example, Fussy isn't overtly political, but as a reader, I'd make certain assumptions about her attitude from the way she behaves and presents herself (i.e. she's a hippie), and that in itself doesn't come off as an endorsement or a criticism of said views so much as a fact of her personality.
Right. The most she really does is flout societal norms and tease what little of the establishment they have there. She's basically being who she wants to be at the expense of a few characters, but I couldn't imagine bringing in an actual, real political problem to their little world. That just seems too cruel.

Eventually Alan Moore came along and decided to teach stardust a lesson by placing him in his universe of comics in suspended animation, and one of his characters taking over the star that Stardust lives in, thus ruining Stardust for future generations.

Oh Jesus, these are just too much. I love how a criminal mastermind that can make impressive rays to destroy whole population has an escape plan that involves hiding in a tree.
And how a girl who just lost EVERY FREAKIN' THING (including everyone she's known or loved) can't help but become attracted to Stardust immediately.
I don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved that I can't even fake-write a mary sue to this level of absurdity.

I'm attempted to encourage this if only because it means three months of fictional attractive women flashing you their boobs because "they don't know what just came over them."

I could have changed mine a week ago.
But I probably won't, because when people rename streets it's always to something cheesy and corporate like "Nationwide Boulevard" or something overly long-winded like "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard."

STARDUST CAPTURES THE CRIMINAL MASTERMIND
Stardust: For stealing all that money from innocent people, I will now punish you in the worst way possible
Criminal Mastermind: have mercy!
Stardust: You had no mercy for your victims so there will be no mercy for you. Because you love dollars so much....
Stardust: You will become one! A Canadian dollar!
Criminal Mastermind: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Stardust: and you will be crumply so that soda vending machines, in the far future, will reject you and spit you out every time!
Criminal Mastermind: ARGH
Stardust: and your structure will be so that no matter how many times you are pulled back and forth across the edge of the vending machine, you will never uncrumple!
Criminal Mastermind: AIIIIEEE
Stardust: And later you will be replaced by a coin with a copper insert that befuddles Americans! And when you are frozen, your little copper core pops out!
If those two panels didn't have any words I'd have thought that he'd be the one who wanted to go with her.
Anyway, I guess I'd have to agree with Fouria about the whole "Mary Sues warp reality around themselves" thing. I've purposely tried to make my characters a bit less like that than before (especially Tre, who I actually think is more flawed than he is admirable) so that people wouldn't spout off "OH MY GOD LYLE'S MAKING HIS CHARACTERS PERFECT, LET'S LYNCH HIM".
There's only one character I've created who I've deliberately not done that with, and he's a vampire who doesn't really do much plot-wise in Stuck, so. He's a parody of the "perfect human" archetype anyway, so I should be allowed.
Besides that, "clumsy" and "cries too much" are usually excuses for all the other characters to fawn over them. Which is the point: it's more in the way they're written, the context of the story, and how other characters interact with them than the laundry list of items that make up their biography.

Well, she's still a catgirl :p

Yeah, she definitely runs the risk of being a sue depending how how she's treated.
The first one looks just as sueish as the second one imo
That was sort of my initial gut reaction, but that was just because she was a cat-girl. Aside from that, the character is not overtly a sue as far as I can tell. But writing could easily push her in that direction.

Yeah, as some of the comments pointed out, she could still be considered a "bad character". I think the meow-mix thing actually has some potential, especially if it was pretty hard for her to change back. Even if she carries around an iPod with the meow-mix song on stand-by, it'd be amusing to try and see her change back if she only has paws.
A bit less interesting if she can just change back, at will...

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the "GPAs" given are actually letter grades?

I never really understood those character stats/bios/whatever-the-hell-you-call-them off to the side. Is this something for other artists/authors to use or is it one of those silly things they deem necessary to inform you of?
They're both pretty dire, but I can see the one on the left being tolerable, maybe even interesting, in the hands of a skillful writer. The one on the right, not so much - the character is overloaded with talents and apparently lacks any weaknesses; without a radical overhaul I don't think there's much you could do with a character like that beyond perhaps turning her into a deity of some sort and largely removing her from the main plot.

Some readers like that kind of thing (I'm quite fond of character profiles, honestly).
Such profiles can be useful for authors who want to keep track of continuity, as well, although for that purpose I'd think it would be better to keep the profile private and revise it as the plot develops if necessary.

Oh okay. I've always seen them in a gallery in Deviantart, presented kind of like "here's OC A, OC B, " and that'd be the end of it. I was wondering if that was a part of their own stories or characters they "traded" around or what have you
