I feel weird that this essay keeps telling me I watch TV for six hours a day, when in fact I watch TV for less than one hour a week and almost never on my own.
so I changed the angle of the picture a bit but it still looks essentially the same (I had to do it because the dynamic didn't seem right when the top line got shortened)

Hee hee, Polaroid picture.
My mother had one of those cameras when I was little. I thought it wast the coolest thing ever: you take a picture, and then you get to see it!
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

This has certainly been a memorable night (If curious, I'm open to PMs delineating on the issue. If that's even the right usage of the word. Man, we are really, tired)

Heh, I wondered about that. I have my browsers set to use Nimbus Sans L (the typeface FreeSans is based on) as a substitute for Helvetica and Arial, 'cause y'know, Helvetica doesn't come with Ubuntu.
Also, I've said this before, but: Helvetica is my mental image of what letters "look like". When I think of the letter "G", for instance, I see a Helvetica G in my mind...the only real exception is "R", which has a straight leg instead of Helvetica's curved one.
My laptop has Arial but that's only because I got the Microsoft fonts package (honestly, I didn't think it mattered if EVERYTHING my computer had was open-source).
No Helvetica, though. I might fix that or I might not. Depends on whether I want to get the font files from my dad's Mac or not. (and yes, having a Mac should basically mean you bought the license to use it with it, bluh).

I got the Microsoft fonts package too, but Nimbus/FreeSans is a much closer match for Helvetica than Arial is, so I prefer that. Nitpicky, I know.
Similarly, I've found I prefer Bitstream's Courier 10 Pitch (included with Ubuntu) to Monotype's Courier New (included with Microsoft stuff). The latter looks thin and wiry when rendered by FreeType, so I avoid it on Linux.
Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
Yesterday I attended a retirement dinner for the Methodist members of that particular church. Everyone's nametag was in Comic Sans and even if I said anything, nobody would understand why it's the antifont

I think it's time for me to go to bed. See you tomorrow.
I'm not surprised it's not online though. Focus On Carbon County is not exactly a well-known publication.
It's amazingly surreal. Sometimes the four panels don't even have anything to do with each other, and the art takes more shifts than a manual transmission. It's not in every issue of the paper though, seems to kind of show up at random.
Other strips in the same publication are mostly (I'm sure illegally) reprints of mainstream strips. With a reprint of Get Fuzzy filling in when Airport's not available.

FUCK YOU, I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!
I like it, but two small changes, if possible. Could you drop the apostraphe-s, and could you highlight all of "Volume Two"?
otherwise, I like.

I think it's safe to say that newspaper comics are making an awesome-fueled comeback
A local weekly runs a strip called Near The Airport that is a cross between Jack Chick Tacts, The Far Side and every Micheal Bay movie.
It's amazing, but is unfortunately endemic to that paper afaik.
Couldn't find anything online (not even with "near the airport" "comic strip" -belgain). Too bad, your description makes it sound cool.
Also
It is pretty cool.

I don't have a scanner.
If I ever get one, I'll do that if I remember to.
