    READ MY CROSS SHIPPING-FANFICTION, DAMMIT!

i get so angry sometimes i just punch plankton --Klinotaxis
In the distant future, a horrible disease spreads like wildfire. Infected humans lose the ability to feel love or joy, and become cold, calculating beings that care only about destroying all that is good in the world.

Worse yet, they have the ability to fake these positive emotions. Hiding among the uninfected, waiting for the opportune time to strike. The untainted humans live in constant fear of a surprise attack.

Only two things stand in between mankind  and total devastation.  Protective headgear that makes humans immune to the virus while they wear it, and a secret from earth's past; a series of rhythmic motions and music that can only be preformed by those who still posses joy.

However, the tribunal of elders is troubled. If a song from earth's past holds the key to survival and this song existed long before the virus, than how could the past humans know about it? The tribunal reaches a startling conclusion, someone from the present must have been sent back in time to teach the dance to the humans of the past.

Four men have been selected to go back in time, however the journey is not without pearl. To travel back in time the four men must remove their protective headgear. These hatless men will brave the dangers of 1980s Canada and the joyless that have followed them to teach humanity...

    THE DANCE OF SAFETY

I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat

What, you mean no updates since 2004? Well, I think that the most recent years aren't really a priority. It's mostly interested in history, not recent events.

I figured it would be neat, but I haven't read it...

    ^I laughed.

What's great is I started kicking that idea around in my head a good hour to two before I even saw the last 50ish posts.

  • I think, on my very last day of school, I'm going to bring in a few stacks of CDs I burn and just leave them lying around the school. Real obscure albums, Journey to the Planet of Birds, Graffiti 2: The Doldrums, and so on.

Most people will probably throw them away, but I like the idea that I might possibly open up a new world of music to at least one person.

It was weird, most people would think hunting down one's best friend with a big honkin' laser would be crazy, but I found a sick joy to it. Of course, I wasn't gonna kill him or anything.

Nah. I liked him too much for that.

Oh, Nora, you little rascal, you.

-sigh- Sorry about all the Stuck today; I'm getting myself back into the groove of writing it.

Also, I may or may not have accidentally cri88ed a little 8it of Nora's Homestuck lookalike here. -shrug-
  • oh Tre

I just plugged your album on Facebook.

  • Cool, thanks.

In other news, I finally found out what NatalieDee was called. About time, too; I always wondered in the back of my mind but now I know.

Webcomic thing. Popular on Tumblr but everyone crops out the byline which sucks because I couldn't ever find it.

Also, 5 people have downloaded D76. I feel accomplished.

  • It'll be six sometime tomorrow when I finally finish downloading it.
  • :)

I hope it's worth the wait; I like some of the other stuff I did on it that I didn't prerelease. I think "Disavowed" might be my favorite.

  • I'm sure I'll like it.

I'm looking back through my own old work. Including the period of time when I owned turntables.

I think that "Martin Denny vs. The Orb" is actually pretty good, and I might repurpose "Fresh.Lost.Drifter" for something.

  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
  • Also listening to what was finished of Fruit-Based Religion

I still wish I'd gotten to finish that Tromufi project, but, only so much one can do, I suppose.

"samples and production, chops/screws, et al. by Blixty Slycat"
"synths, original arrangement by Tre Stuck"

    Hee hee hee.
  • The credits for Camels.

I dunno why I did that. I just did.
  • I don't think that any song I've ever done is so encapsulated by its title as "8-Bit Desert"

    makes sense.

Though I should point out that what I did to Camels was not technically chopping and screwing, I just slowed it down.

There was no chopping, you see.

  • Eh, I'll leave it in for fun's sake.

    -shrug- Why not.
  • Not objecting, just saying.

I wish I had gotten to do more songs with Mike K, he was pretty good and we only ever did two songs together ("Funky Cow" and "The Boat") both from projects that ended up bottoming out, though both tracks have since turned up on my compilations, it's still a bit frustrating.

I'm OK.  He hit me a few times but my coat protected me, and he ran away when I reached my front door.

And now I have to stay up because I have two essays to write.  The police will be wanting a statement first thing in the morning.

    Thanks guys. *hugs FM back*

    I appreciate it.

But I'm not hurt at all.  I was stupid I guess.  I should probably have just handed over my wallet but I made a run for it and he chased me.
