I'm listening to music from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.
For some reason Primeval Ruins's music sounds Friday-like to me (not the song, the day), as does that of the Tusk bosses. I always liked the Tusk bosses primarily because of the music (even if Torch Tusk was a tough one for me at first), though I wonder: if the bosses in this game are kings, what the hell kind of kingdom is one ruled by a robotic, weaponized elephant (or two, in the case of the Chili Pepper Kingdom's Double Tusk)?

I think it fits the latter level better, honestly. Funny how they do a space level and then the same development team goes on to do the Super Mario Galaxy games (when I first played the original in 2007, I thought that Bee Mario catapulting himself off of a flower was familiar...).
Yes, Coleman of the Winstons is the originator of this legendary drum break. Probably the single most sampled piece of music (just my guess). Used across all styles of hip-hop, electronic/dance music, and still used in many songs today. The basis of early jungle/drum & bass music, which is what Trent was obviously going for here. I think he had some interest in getting into the genre more (including signing an act through his label) but he moved on.

There seems to be a Christianity reactionary movement forming in my country which is weird and scary because unlike most people here, I do live in an actual Christian country.

I get what you're saying, though that's kinda a weird way to put it. You guys have like an official Church and, though, America does not, ~84% of the country is Christian and the adhering to the "good book" is pretty damn important in the Republican party.
Though, Christian reactionaries aren't exactly new on this side of the pond.
We have about 75% of the population being Christian here and about 9% of the pop being of no religion despite Christianity being everywhere. I mean the big 3 events of the average Brition's life revolve around the Church lol.

Closer to 71.6%. If you only count white Britons it's 75%.
We're nevertheless very secularized compared to much of the USA.
I've always been very suspicious of people who hold their ontology and their politics close together, but I'm not sure how much I agree with this article.

I don't normally like AMVs, but sometimes I'll come across a good one.
