The Red Guy and Him are hilarious because they show that Cartoon Network in the '90s was totally cool with having Satan as a character in your children's cartoon as long as you didn't call him Satan.

I don't know why it says hidden, they're right there off the subway
Ha, those. I thought most people knew they were there? They're literally pedestrian parallels to the subway lines. They are indeed pretty creepy but, I dunno, I just thought they were a thing? I didn't even know there was a real name for them.
it wasn't exactly surprising. i mean, what was surprising was that they weren't lined with shops, or busy, or anything. they're wide enough to handle a lot of foot traffic.
They're huge, yeah. I never really thought about why there are no shops or whatever down there, though, which is funny when you think of Suburban Station and how there's this maze of little stores all around it.
yeah, that's exactly it. suburban station has its own mini complex that goes for blocks (and hooks into the concourse) but it's busy. this is just empty.
apparently there's some rejuvenation plan that's supposed to install a bunch of shops and stuff by 2021.

Like, I knew about the suburban station complex -- I walked the length of it once -- but not the pedestrian paths. I try not to exploring into mysterious byways in the subways because I don't want to get lectured

You literally walk through one of them to get from the street to at least half the stops on the Broad Street Line.
if they don't want people going into places they should put up a fence. or at least a sign. ain't nothing wrong if you're just wandering around fully consistent with posted placards
See, there's the problem. If I'm on the Broad Street line, it usually means that I'm doing something time-sensitive. I save the casual ambling for near Market St, which is how I found that one between-stations tunnel near 11th.

For some reason, Big Lots is the only store where I can consistently find college-ruled composition books.
Composition books are my preferred note-taking notebook because I tend to screw up the spirals on spiral notebooks.
So...I basically do all my school-supply shopping at Big Lots now.
