I mean, I really don't like The Witness because I think that hiding a lot of very obvious statements behind complicated point-and-line puzzles is not terribly interesting on a "meaning" level, but everyone I know who really likes The Witness either doesn't like a lot of other video games, went to an art school, or both, so I don't really think that's a fair criticism in any respect at all.
Yeah, it's entirely possible to say "This game is taking a simple idea, and stating it in an overly convoluted way that doesn't really support that message," without insulting broad swathes of people and coming across like a tool.

Snopes points out that there were pocket cameras that looked like that in 1995, and I suppose that's true...but my question is: who holds a camera like that? I get that you wouldn't want to look away from the action but you wouldn't actually be able to see through a normal point-and-shoot camera's viewfinder if you're holding it that far out.

I'm not participating because my food options are actually quite limited here (unless I were to bike to south campus for what they've got over there, which... nah, not worth it); most of my meals are divided between CFA, Panda Express, Steak 'n Shake and the local coffee shop because of personal taste and lack of interest in the other choices up north (fuck the cafeteria, I ain't about that salad bar life at Greens to Go, and Subway is definitely not the kind of place I particularly want to go on a daily basis either, though it is better than I give it credit for).
That being said, however, I get why we're doing it, and would probably join if I had the choice -- Cane's is better than CFA anyway, but I can't go there as often because I have to spend Real Money (as opposed to Flex Dollars or meal swipes) to do so

Like, I'm autistic, more often than not I'm trying to find a way to keep myself occupied on a sensory level. It's why I sing to myself, why I'm a toe-tapper, why I swing my keys when I walk, and why I feel like I would benefit greatly from having a Fidget Cube.
Taking some fucking Adderall isn't going to do shit for that, and it's not a waste of money if it's something people, people like me, can genuinely benefit from! Maybe I'm just assuming the worst and not giving them credit for thinking about these things, but fuck's sake, if you feel like it isn't going to help you just say that instead of insulting people that might.
