Hello there, it may not come to surprise you, but you're probably reading this voice in the voice of Morgan Freeman, I just wanted to calm you with my amazing voice and offer my fair wishes to all, this has been Morgan Freeman, and now onto something else.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Oh. For some reason, I thought he might have been one of those murder suspects in weird horrific cases that sometimes make the news.

Would anyone in the modern day know what a Police Box is if not for Doctor Who?

I think DW is what I would call "mainstream nerdy", if that makes sense.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Speaking of which sometimes I feel weird for not being interested in that. Not only is it a stereotypical "nerd" thing it's also an American cultural icon!

I don't have much interest in it myself. I watched all six movies back when the prequels were coming out, but it didn't keep my interest once the hype died down.
Same thing with Indiana Jones...I've seen Raiders of the Lost Ark and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull but not the other two...which now strikes me as odd, because I'd probably be more interested in them than Star Wars.

Yes, but I don't know how aware people would be of the specific model, since most of the information I've been able to find on the Metropolitan Police Public Call Box (on which the TARDIS was based) was unsurprisingly written by Who fans.
As with most iconic British street furniture most people didn't really take an interest until the things started getting demolished so records are patchy, but there are still some standing. Some were built quite recently, although generally not based on the familiar Gilbert Mackenzie Trench design, so they haven't quite died out yet. >I liked all the star wars movies. I think I may be the only one in t he world...

Now that you mention it, I find that interesting...I imagine there's a lot of information about that particular model of police box that would have been lost to time (no pun intended) if not for some people who liked a TV show.

Apparently I've been hanging around Haven too long to think that "lukewarm" could be anything but an intentional pun.
>I find the prequel trilogy entertaining, but they just don't stack up to the originals...Or Star Wars:Clone Wars for that matter.
Minus the Clone Wars which I haven't seen, this is my feeling as well.

Very probably.
Specifically, it's based on the Mark 2 (although interestingly, the TARDIS is made of wood, like the prototypical Mark 1 boxes, probably due to a popular misconception; most actual Mark 1 and 2 boxes were concrete).

i wonder how popular the show is in America
^Looks sort of like Univers to me.

Gonna try to get back to sleep after just wasting a few hours listening to Touhou music.
