I could watch Myrmidon's gif for hours, and Crystal's link made me smile right when I needed it.  Thanks, guys.

    Too hot and sticky

    Help meh pls
  • Saw a video that was pretty good, watched one of eighteen minutes until the guy said something good about Mass Effect 1 at the expense of 2 and 3, immediately closed the video
  • If Twilight Princess is your favorite Zelda game, I will approach you with caution but I can come to an understanding

If Morrowind is your favorite Elder Scrolls game you've got a LOT to prove to me

If Mass Effect 1 is your favorite Mass Effect game, you are wrong and I will avoid you as a rule
  • My dreams exceed my real life
My favorite Mass Effect game is 2, because I thought 1 had a lot of problems and did not get around to playing 3
  • My dreams exceed my real life
My second favorite Mass Effect game is Star Control 2

My favourite Mass Effect game is Infinite Space.

I like TwiPri the most because I think it's the prettiest and most aesthetically appealing and one I'm most familiar with or care to learn about. I think.
  • Twilight Princess isn't even close to my least favorite, it's actually one of my favorites

But something about the statement "Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game" registers as "iffy" to me
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
What is your least favorite, actually.

I think a lot of people confused ME1's plodding, disjointed pacing, tedious combat, and stilted dialogue for the hallmarks of Quality Intelligent Gaming and ME2's broader, action-y sensibilities for dumbing down rather than pruning

A Link Between Worlds, in a weird way.

Zelda has always been a very polished Action-Adventure series, to the point where it pretty much is THE Action-Adventure series. What it is not is a particularly inventive series, gameplay-wise. And that's okay, because for the most part Zelda is remarkably aesthetically and mechanically expressive. It felt like ALBW sacrificed a lot of that expression in favor of fine tuning gameplay, so what we're left with is something exceedingly polished and very satisfying to play, but it isn't really doing anything on an aesthetic level. Also its storytelling was legitimately, fundamentally flawed in a way no other Zelda game was.

I am not familiar enough with ALBW to comment on that, but I did enjoy reading that, at least. I'd probably play it before TwiPri because it's not 3D.

    I mean

    You're not WRONG

But Morrowind stans are astonishingly tedious

Mega Man X7 is the pinnacle of video games anyway, so it's a pointless conversation.

That isn't the one with Infinity Mijinion, though

Irrelevant. The best boss in video gaming is Flame Hyenard.

you can simplify that to just "stans are tedious"

I've always wondered about people who use stuff like Classic Shell, or vertical tab plugins in browsers

Like...what do you do when you have to, you know, use a computer that's not yours? Do you just grumble the entire time about how this sucks compared to your customized interface?
  • Presumably you are annoyed with it and then you go home to your computer and then aren't anymore.
  • you just use it?
  • I just use it because I have work to do and work better in the library?

I guess I just don't understand why people do those things, because somehow I've never encountered a user interface I'd want to modify beyond just changing built-in settings.

I like to just use things the way they are out of the box...

I use it, although when possible I will see to it that I use my own computer in the future.

What bothers me much more are the keyboards I have to deal with at school, simply because they're so awkward for me to type on compared to the computers I've used, but even then it's just more reason to be as expedient as possible so I can work where I'm more comfortable.

^ Sorry, I kind of already harmed Klinotaxis. But it is my job after all.
  • and I'm off lunch, see y'all's in like 2 hours don't kill one another without me

:about to slam Klino off the top rope: what?
  • Centie, it's late at night, I can't sleep, so I'm just going to say this: you're doing The Thing again. The Thing where you can't quite comprehend that not everyone is a whiz with computers and not everyone has the resources to have a fancy custom computer, and not everyone gets angry when using public computers. Have you been to a university library? Usually you're fighting to find a computer.

Please stop before this spirals out of control.

    angers you?

Basically I was having the "angry" variety of mood swing and that was an easy target

    I'm over it now

I stop following gimmick Twitter accounts the moment they break character to get mad at something
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
If they don't break character and it's part of the gimmick?
  • there are no good gimmick accounts that involve getting mad at something
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
what if it were, like, a Donald Duck impersonator

I know it would make no real difference, but the tile thing would feel less like a waste of space if the icons actually took up the whole box

I don't understand why they left all that whitespace around them
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
i might be tempted to use Classic Shell to avoid that tile thing (ok probably not but still)
