Saw a video that was pretty good, watched one of eighteen minutes until the guy said something good about Mass Effect 1 at the expense of 2 and 3, immediately closed the video
If Twilight Princess is your favorite Zelda game, I will approach you with caution but I can come to an understanding
If Morrowind is your favorite Elder Scrolls game you've got a LOT to prove to me
If Mass Effect 1 is your favorite Mass Effect game, you are wrong and I will avoid you as a rule
I like TwiPri the most because I think it's the prettiest and most aesthetically appealing and one I'm most familiar with or care to learn about. I think.
My favorite Mass Effect game is 2, because I thought 1 had a lot of problems and did not get around to playing 3
I think a lot of people confused ME1's plodding, disjointed pacing, tedious combat, and stilted dialogue for the hallmarks of Quality Intelligent Gaming and ME2's broader, action-y sensibilities for dumbing down rather than pruning
Zelda has always been a very polished Action-Adventure series, to the point where it pretty much is THE Action-Adventure series. What it is not is a particularly inventive series, gameplay-wise. And that's okay, because for the most part Zelda is remarkably aesthetically and mechanically expressive. It felt like ALBW sacrificed a lot of that expression in favor of fine tuning gameplay, so what we're left with is something exceedingly polished and very satisfying to play, but it isn't really doing anything on an aesthetic level. Also its storytelling was legitimately, fundamentally flawed in a way no other Zelda game was.

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I've always wondered about people who use stuff like Classic Shell, or vertical tab plugins in browsers
Like...what do you do when you have to, you know, use a computer that's not yours? Do you just grumble the entire time about how this sucks compared to your customized interface?

I guess I just don't understand why people do those things, because somehow I've never encountered a user interface I'd want to modify beyond just changing built-in settings.
I like to just use things the way they are out of the box...

it is not a big deal, i just like my own setup slightly better

It occurs to me that I have a bit of a double standard in that Linux users customizing their setup doesn't anger me the way it does when Windows users do it
I use it, although when possible I will see to it that I use my own computer in the future.
What bothers me much more are the keyboards I have to deal with at school, simply because they're so awkward for me to type on compared to the computers I've used, but even then it's just more reason to be as expedient as possible so I can work where I'm more comfortable.
^ Sorry, I kind of already harmed Klinotaxis. But it is my job after all.
Centie, it's late at night, I can't sleep, so I'm just going to say this: you're doing The Thing again. The Thing where you can't quite comprehend that not everyone is a whiz with computers and not everyone has the resources to have a fancy custom computer, and not everyone gets angry when using public computers. Have you been to a university library? Usually you're fighting to find a computer.

I know it would make no real difference, but the tile thing would feel less like a waste of space if the icons actually took up the whole box
I don't understand why they left all that whitespace around them

But something about the statement "Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game" registers as "iffy" to me

You're not WRONG
But Morrowind stans are astonishingly tedious

Please stop before this spirals out of control.
I'm over it now
