Granted, it might be a little awkward this year if my legal issues aren't resolved by then, but it's still something to look forward to
(and nothing used Motif even in 1995 except commercial software, since OSF charged for it. they also insisted on "monetizing" it long after it'd been rendered obsolete by GTK+ and Qt, and by the time they finally open-sourced it, it was kind of too late. I only remember this because of all the people going to FreeBSD from, say, Solaris, and wondering where mwm and friends were.)
The RPG I wrote has no specific mechanics for combat so coming up with traditional character archetypes is difficult.
(Note: My system is that players buy "Experiences," which each grant a single "Character Point." CP can be spent on "Traits," which include any sort of feat, magical ability, or passive status, as long as the Traits can be said to have been obtained through one of the character's experiences. In other words, pretty free form character development. That is, however, a major pain in the ass when it comes to starting a quick game, so I also include "Archetypes" which are there for the purpose of simplifying matters and they function more or less like a class system.)
However, I did have what I thought was a pretty funny variant of the Monk: The Landstander, who gains a bonus to physical attributes and emotional attributes when barefoot.
