interestingly, Gregory Galloway, the book's author, seems to have only one other book to his name (The 39 Deaths of Adam Strand, which I've not read or even heard of before now).
I mean it probably does not scan as a spoiler unless you've actually read the book, but the only key plot point they mention (Anna Cayne disappearing) happens like halfway through.
I think the chief reasoning was that they were kinda redundant, since if you're reading an encyclopedic article about a story you should probably expect spoilers.
Or, rather, I actually wish that the bosses of the hospitals that my mom does work for would stop outsourcing to India, to the detriment of the actual transcription and thus the safety of the patients, and to the detriment of my mom's ability to pay for me and my siblings' education and also the mortgage.
But that reveals actual weakness, and it's easier for me to hate vaguely defined concepts and pretend to be afraid of some sort of robot apocalypse instead of my mom losing her job.
It's easier when I can know for certain that my fears are unfounded and my anxieties are silly.
I mean, if I must have anxieties, at least let them be about things that I know can't hurt me.
^^ My dad has to get a job. My brother and sister have gotten jobs. I have to get a job this summer. My mom will likely keep her job, but make less money than she has in the past.
(Aliroz is the only one to get Hats instead of Feathers, because silly consistency dang it! and because I can. But they are lower quality because I can't hat.)
My sister is going on a mission (a two-year proselytizing trip paid for partly by the church and partly by your family, expected for all males of my faith and encouraged for females) in a couple months. There are tax benefits for that.
And, well, my family has always paid tithing and taxes honestly, and they've always tried to be responsible with money and build up savings (my dad used to be an accountant). But if I can get scholarships, and if I can keep my textbooks in good condition for maximum sellback value, that will help...

I'm not consciously trying to be teenage, roleplay aside...but it kinda just happens on its own

Mojo Jojo's career with the Townsville Department of Transportation was short-lived.
Of course they still had to include some of the other side's nonsensical justifications at the end, but for the most part the story does an excellent job and it's got folks I know and like!
The Kardashians have done nothing to earn their money.
Which practically speaking, means they've arranged fewer murders and been indirectly responsible for pain and suffering than most self-made rich people.

does it involve dactyls?
all i remember is 'gothic girl' 'codes' 'mix CDs' and 'shortwave radio'
iirc they were abandoned on the basis that they weren't sufficiently encyclopaedic, and due to arguments that they constituted a form of censorship
