Also, the spot that was on my chin that got infected and never healed and formed a nasty scab and went away due to antibiotics but left a big scar has been leaking out pus again and forming a big spot right where the scar was.

OK, you meet some great characters, some of whom are pretty funny and/or cool. But the brief lightening of the mood ultimately only makes everything that happens later even more relentless.
Sometimes I just stay in the shower for an extra ten minutes than necessary. I'll be clean and will have washed my hair, but I love the feeling of water washing over me.
Sometimes, I'm okay with getting my hands wet. Like, filling up the sink partway with water and making waves, but when I take my hands out, I have to get a towel.
Water, it just sinks into your skin and you can't scrape it off no matter how hard to try, your hands just stay wet and you can't pull it out or rip it off.
Towels are the greatest. Warm towels are greatestest.
Being submerged: fine.
Being wet: not fine.

I don't have quite such a severe negative reaction, I don't think, but I don't find it particularly pleasant in any case. I like the feeling of the moving water, however, so I'll often prolong showers to enjoy that and postpone having to get out and just be wet.
I sort of want to own one of those towel warmers for after showers, too. That sounds lovely. Warm towels are WONDERFUL.

I actually using turn up the heat in my room for the duration of my shower so that it won't be quite so cold when I step out. I don't turn the bathroom fan on until after I am finished showering, either, so the bathroom itself will become warmer. The humidity isn't necessarily ideal either, but it's better than cold.
