As I'd planned, I napped a couple hours when I got home

Exam observations: Some instructors will make you wait until all the exams are handed out to start working on them, while others will let you start the moment you receive your exam.
It's interesting. In principle, I can see why you might want everyone to start together, to keep it fair by making sure everyone gets the same amount of time to work on the exam...but at the same time, realistically, that extra 30 seconds between when the person at the front of the row gets her exam and when the person at the back of the row gets their exam is gonna be negligible in terms of the overall time limit.

I am quite puzzled by the number of people on XDA who seem to believe there should be a way to fix the 2015 Kindle Fire's "stretching" problem through software.
Like...the issue is that the display literally has pixels that aren't quite square. I get that Android makes it seem like software is magic, but how do you think an operating system is going to work around a physical constraint of a device like that?
i don't know the particulars, but usually lines aren't one pixel thick. software could change how many pixels are on and such and make things less out of aspect
I'm having trouble apply for health insurance through the ACA right now. I've filled out the application twice and each times it tells me my identity wasn't verified. This wouldn't be a problem except for the number it gives me to verify my identity over the phone just cuts off after 5 seconds every time I call it. And the lines are so busy, I can't talk to another human being about it and get help that way. I just want to fill out my goddamn application.

Government bureaucracy can be a pain sometimes. I feel ya. :\
Political satire is expressing your sincere views and getting away with it because you do it in an insincere way. So, you express undercurrents of message overlaid with exaggerations.
Or, in other words, it's being insufferable and mind-controlling everyone into liking you and then nobody can criticize you because it's humor.
It's a bunch of lies, I tell you. Republicans are not elephants, and democrats are not donkeys! William Pitt and Napoleon did not actually turn gigantic and cut up the world with enormous knives!
I can no longer remember the carefree days of only near-constant panicking in the distant times before dead week...
They say eventually that Thursday will come, and I will pass that one class... but the semester breaks of my youth are a forgotten memory, and the imagination is hard-put to weave an image of their return in such dismal days...

I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I feel like I'm creatively bankrupt, because Cirque du Yogi and The All-New Rocky & Bullwinkle Show resemble their source material pretty closely, but Casper the Little Dead Boy doesn't and was inspired mostly by my awe at the bizarreness of the old Famous cartoons and Harvey comics.

Making a loose adaptation of something makes you creatively bankrupt??
So, for all y'alls being all like "Columbo's evidence is circumstantial! You can't prove murder by the fact of someone's shoelaces being tied the wrong way, or a recording that started at 2:29 not having the half-hour chime!" no, but I always thought that what happens next is that Columbo uses said clues and proofs in court to dismantle alibis so the investigation can continue, and proving sufficient need for reevaluation and warrants for the forensics guys to investigate the crime scene.
The audience doesn't want to see the next few weeks of forensics guys and courtrooms and eventual finding the guilty party guilty by real evidence. The fun is trying to figure out the one thing the bad guy messed up on before Columbo figures it out, the fun is seeing the face of the murderer after Columbo reveals that he's figured it all out.
Besides, something like half of the episodes couldn't work anymore, in this era of photoshop, cell phones, and google (instant communication, photoes not considered concrete proof to the degree they once were, and instant information).

No, I don't think making a loose adaptation makes you creatively bankrupt. In fact, aren't you being more creative by putting your own spin on something?

My home folder contains a folder called "Dekstop" (sic) that contains only a subfolder called "farts" which contains what seem to be Android-related files??
