Speaking to The Sun ahead of the close of polls, Mr Farage said: “If this by-election was in one of dozens of other constituencies in Northern England, we would have won it comfortably.”
He added: “The reason it is close and the reason I can’t be confident about the postal votes is because in this constituency there is a particular block vote that is a very difficult demographic for UKIP.”
When challenged on whether he was talking about Asian voters, Mr Farage said “I’m going to say nothing, otherwise you all scream at me.”
Speaking on his seventh visit to the seat, Mr Farage added: “This particular demographic in this particular constituency is why this has been a much tougher constituency for us. The point is if it was in dozens of others, I think we would have walked it.”
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Come on, now. I've been in the UK for at least 3 minutes as of 2 two minutes from now, and I've yet to see one instance of orgphanage arson!!

Should I feel guilty about buying stuff from a supplier on eBay who sells no-brand "made in China" tat?
I dunno, I wanted a traffic marshaling wand for my traffic control collection but I didn't want to pay for an actual decent one since I'm going to use it as a toy instead of for actually directing traffic, so I bought a cheap no-name one...
In his youth Melvin Williams, the actor who plays the Deacon, was a real-life drug kingpin who was arrested by series writer Ed Burns in 1984 when the latter was a Baltimore city police officer.
maybe guy fawkes had the right idea and just needed to have it a few hundred years later
eh, i don't think the uk's current problems have anything to do with the king not being catholic anymore
see, he thought the religion thing was the issue because that was way back when. he didn't understand the motive but he knew the crime that needed to be done.
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
This Kickstarter game bills itself as "inspired by Avatar, the Last Airbender," but these characters are literally just Asami, Boulder/Iroh, Korra, and others.
Is it just me or is anyone else tired of basically every new indie game and kickstarter project and such stating that they are "inspired by" some slate of famous things, as its headline/tagline?
It's totally fair to mention inspirations when describing a work, but putting it in the headline/tagline makes it sound like the point of the work is to take after and rip off of the fame of something else, rather than stand on on its own.

Even as a tool for convenience's sake, being all "inspired by Binding of Isaac and Nuclear Throne!!" - expect permadeath and top-down shooting alongside a slew of unlockables - and whatnot gets tiresome and, admittedly, just odd.
I would rather that be shown implicitly by the gameplay, or themes, or how it's described. At worst it looks like riding coattails and a few shades removed from buzzwords, while at best it's lazy and self-evident. I wouldn't say it's something that weighs on my mind given how I've gotten used to ignoring unnecessary details or glossing over irrelevant repetitions, but it is something I would not mind seeing go away.

I saw this vine once of like an Arab man shouting "Hey!" raising a goat, who shouted "Hey!" and then panning to an entire herd of goats who shouted "Hey!"
And I was going to use that for my report about Vine and globalization but I can't fucking find the thing.
