but i mean the exaltation stuff etc isn't wrong, it's just presented in this boring CD-i zelda cartoon and now a generation of YTMNDer potential antimormons just thinks it's a stupid fucking cartoon which it is
There is no such thing as an objectively good/bad/better/worse narrative work.
There is just different expectations and tastes. And society's opinion's of those tastes.
This is not to say that all tastes are all equal, ethically or otherwise. This is simply recognizing the source of those opinions on what stuff is good/bad.
To be honest my opinion on Mormonism is that they probably get a worse rap than they deserve.
I am volunteering the following unnecessary info:
I never grew up in a religious household but my profoundly religious Pentecostal aunt did kind of turn me off of church. I am fond of religion though and believe it does more good than harm in the world and that it should have a future in society. I also believe religion should be personal and that people should have the freedom to worship or not to worship at their own discretion and that nobody should be made to feel lesser for how they choose to worship or for not worshipping. In my opinion, this means it would be best for society not prescribe to customs based on a specific faith as it implicitly excludes the non-believers of said faith.
i just remember when i was really little me and this other kid were trying to stop this other kid from hurting a spider and the other kid said the third kid who wanted to squish the spider should not do it because "god says that killing things is wrong" and that was pretty much my first actual experience with religion and it has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth to this day
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
I loved both Honest Hearts and Dead Money.
No, it was Old World Blues. I wanted to like Old World Blues, I really did, but it broke my saves, and the brains were far too chatty and not really that funny.

Think is, if they arrive, we'll only have a twenty minute meeting, which is not enough time to do anything.
And all the work I need to do requires a computer. There are computers here but I need to go to the library to get references for my lab reports, which is on the opposite end of campus.

My mentor is half an hour late.
I have a fuck ton of work to do.
I'm at our usual place, go here fifteen minutes before our usual time, and just been sat here, waiting.
No texts or anything as to why they're late.
can you work on stuff while you're waiting?
