FYI, for those of you here who might remember MadassAlex, or that guy who loves talking about swords and armor and stuff like that. He's not feeling well and he doesn't think he has much longer to live.
(Yes, that's a public thread, in case you were concerned about that.)
Oh, oh dear. Glenn, would you mind PMing him my well wishes, and thanks for having him always be a considerate, reasonable individual, please? And someone I considered often worth listening to, no less. Feel free to mention my various names, of course.
Except I have to update iTunes in order to set this new iPod up, and I have to leave my flat at half past. Hopefully it won't take that long. And I will literally be taking all the stuff from my old iPod and dumping it onto this one, and sorting stuff off later tonight.

Jesus Christ.
Could you do the same for me? Tell him it's from Eelektross, and that I'll always remember him for various insights he had.

The dream version of my princess-self is a bit...amoral.
For example, in this morning's dream, I discovered that if you repeatedly use a mind control spell on a person of low intelligence, it loses its effectiveness after a while.
A photographer removes phones from photos and we're supposed to treat it as some profound philosophical insight into how we are now all disconnected robots, beep boop.
If I removed all reading material from photos, it would achieve exactly the same effect.
Also apparently we're meant to be shocked that people spend *gasp* an hour and a half using smartphones in a day.
Fancy that. An entire hour and a half. An uncountable length of time.
A Gundam series where the kid who's never piloted a mobile suit before dies in his first major battle and is replaced by his sister, a trained soldier.
I went to the food-stand the other day and ordered a drink, although I knew I would be thirsty later on in the day, I still only bought one can of fruit punch.

It's just so ridiculous, it's like showing pictures of people eating with the food digitally painted out of their hands. Obviously if you remove the item somebody's interacting with it's just going to look silly.
I swear to fucking hell Jane if you say the word "coral" even once I will personally track down your current whereabouts, wait as long as possible for you to buy a soda and switch it out with a fucking flat one.
I've never really talked to him, we were rarely on the same parts of the forums at the same time, but I liked his posts and I love his fascination with history and swords. It's, frankly, inspiring to see one who has an interest and that drive to learn about it, and one who speaks with that passion, that fervor, that zeal.
Dang it, I wanted to be like him when I grew up. I still do.
If you're reading this, Alex, let me say that I carry the standard of conviction, that I feel the fire in my soul.

<6-year-old Princess Alice> I wanted to go as Mary-Kate and Ashley this Halloween, but I haven't learned cloning spells yet! ._.

In all fairness Bill Watterson lives in Northeast Ohio, which is pretty metropolitan, compared to the rural areas where you've mostly lived...

Calvin is lucky to grow up with a giant untouched forest that he's allowed to run free in directly behind his house.
I always envied him for that, especially when I was 6 and we lived in an apartment with nowhere to play outside except a concrete slab laughingly passed off as a "patio".
I remember a Peanuts storyline as a kid where Charlie Brown got really sick and had to go to the hospital, and Lucy felt really bad and fretted the whole time, and when he got back, she offered to let him kick the football for real this time, and he messed up and kicked her hand.
