I used the word deconstruction in the first sentence of this english paper and i feel kinda bad about that but the whole book is pretty explicitly built around taking apart and critically examining and finding clever ways to invert the cultural mythology built up around native americans
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
>florid prose
goddammit now you've reminded me of how my version of Snagglepuss is so much meaner than the real one and generally lacking in florid language except when he must exclaim

but it's okay because it seems to me like you are using it in the correct theoretical way rather than '[x] subverts this expectation therefore it is DECONSTRUCTION'
you might want to talk about how deconstruction can be used as a critical approach to a book which, like that one, appears to be aware of deconstruction itself and is actively engaged in theprocess of deconstruction, like what use is critical deconstruction when the creative work is already deconstructive? are we reduced to just 'pointing out' deconstruction as critics or can we do something more with it? and if you want you could segue into the whole intersection of 'creative' and 'critical' which is very on trend rn at least this side of the pond, and and and and okay ima stop writing your paper for you now
is creative writing usurping the critical function? is critical writing usurping the creative function? my best guess is it's more like a weird and cool incestuous relationship wherein the 2 are becoming much less distinct and you can trace this intermingling p much as far back as you like (working backwards: nabokov, borges, benjamin, wilde, probably Pope tho im not an expert, hell, even the ancient greek dudes)
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I've basically finished all the homework that's due before fall break and IT FEELS GOOD

this is the paper I would love to write but this class is Intro To Literature so she has given us a tight leash wrt topics
this book is really cool because while ostensibly leaning really hard on "this is what the real world is like it isn't like the stories" it keeps a finger or two jammed into the magical realist pie and the narrative has a very strong associative "dude telling you a long rambling story" structure

I can't stand people who complain about being corrected on pedantic things
If you don't want people to constantly correct you, stop saying the wrong thing after it's pointed out to you the first time

"Offended" is a little strong.
It's just an attitude I've seen from others that annoys me.

my boyfriend very cleverly spelled my name wrong on the booking so that will probably cost us a load of money to correct. lol

How you pronounce what?
Every "my hobby" strip can be summarized as "my hobby: being grating."
